One method includes receiving, with an electronic control unit included in a vehicle, a speed of the vehicle and receiving, with the electronic control unit, an audio signal. The method also includes accessing, with the electronic control unit, a plurality of equalization curves based on the speed of the vehicle, each of the plurality of equalization curves associated with the speed of the vehicle and each of the plurality of equalization curves defining a gain adjustment for one of a plurality of frequencies, and, for each curve of the plurality of equalization curves, applying the gain adjustment defined by the curve to one of the plurality of frequencies of the audio signal.

Abstract: A tilting vehicle includes a frame and a front wheel coupled to the frame. A rear wheel is coupled to the frame and positioned rearward of the front wheel in a longitudinal direction. A seating area includes at least one seat positioned to support a rider between the front wheel and the rear wheel. A gyroscopic rider assist device is provided within an enclosure behind the seating area and above the rear wheel.

Abstract: A saddle-ride vehicle includes a forward travel sensor a brake that decelerates the vehicle by actuation of a rider-operable brake control. A controller identifies a trigger for an autonomous braking event for the brake. A rider sensor system is in electrical communication with the controller and includes one or both of: a rider cognition sensor operable to detect parameters of rider cognition and report rider cognition status to the controller, and a rider physical sensor operable to detect parameters of a physical engagement between a rider and the vehicle and report rider physical engagement status to the controller. The controller is programmed to perform one or both of the following in response to the identification of the autonomous braking event trigger: checking for a positive cognitive engagement of the rider with the rider cognition sensor, and checking for a positive physical engagement of the rider with the rider physical sensor.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing multi-zone climate control for a vehicle. One system includes a power source, a plurality of switches, a first zone heating/cooling device, a second zone heating/cooling device, and an electronic controller. The electronic controller is configured to operate the plurality of switches to supply current bi-directionally through the first zone heating/cooling device, bi-directionally through the second zone heating/cooling device, or bi-directionally through a series connection of the first zone heating/cooling device and the second zone heating/cooling device.

Abstract: One or more example vehicle adaptive ride height (ARH) systems to provide semi-active damping and ARH functionality. Each example ARH system is operable to dynamically control the vehicle, in response to dynamic detection of one or more operational parameters, between a raised vehicle state or position (e.g., ride height) and a lowered vehicle state or position. Such dynamic control facilitates greater reach-to-ground when in the lowered vehicle state and automatically controls vehicle ride height when in the raised vehicle state for dynamic loading conditions.

Abstract: An electric vehicle rechargeable via electric power transferred from a power outlet separate from the vehicle includes a seat movable between a first position for supporting a person and a second position. A caddy is positioned below the seat to define a cable storage volume. The cable storage volume is accessible when the seat is in the second position. A charging port is positioned outside of the caddy and accessible with the seat in the first position. A charging cable is positioned within the caddy, the charging cable having a first end engageable with the charging port of the vehicle and a second end engageable with the power outlet. The first and second ends of the charging cable are removable from the caddy when the seat is in the second position to enable charging the electric vehicle via the charging cable and the charging port.

Abstract: Systems and methods for heating a handgrip of a vehicle. One system includes a first handgrip and a second handgrip. The first handgrip includes a first processor, a first heating element, and a first temperature sensor configured to produce a temperature signal indicative of a temperature related to the first heating element. The second handgrip includes a second processor, second heating element, and a second temperature sensor configured to produce a temperature signal indicative of a temperature related to the second heating element. The first processor is configured to receive a temperature signal from the first sensor, compare the signal to a first threshold, and adjust power supplied to the first element based on the signal. The second processor is configured to receive a second temperature signal from the second sensor, compare the signal to a second threshold, and adjust power supplied to the second element based on the signal.

Abstract: A motorcycle includes an electric motor having an output shaft defining a motor axis, a rear wheel drivably coupled to the electric motor to propel the motorcycle, a swingarm rotatably supporting the rear wheel, and a frame. The frame includes a main frame member supporting the electric motor and the swingarm. A case of the electric motor is a stressed member of the frame between the main frame member and the swingarm. The swingarm is coupled to the case of the electric motor to define a swingarm pivot axis that is co-axial with the motor axis.

The electric vehicle further includes a frame, a motor having a housing, and a pivot shaft stack-up assembly co-aligned along a pivot shaft axis. The pivot shaft stack-up assembly includes first and second portions of the frame, a swingarm extending therebetween, and an idler bracket. A shock mount is integral with the battery housing. The shock mount extends from the rear side of the battery housing. The battery housing is configured as a stressed chassis member in which each of the motor housing, the frame, and the pivot shaft stack-up assembly are aligned thereof. The shock mount provides a path along which a load is directed to the battery housing.
