Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer-program product embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium that is programmed for performing active vibration cancellation (AVC) in a moving vessel is provided. The computer-program product includes instructions to receive a first signal indicative of vibrations that are exhibited on at least one passenger in a cabin of the moving vessel and to determine a resonant frequency of the vibrations that are exhibited on the at least one passenger based on the first signal. The computer-program product further includes instructions to generate a first anti-wave signal based on the resonant frequency and to drive at least one haptic actuator that is positioned proximate to the at least one passenger in the cabin with the first anti-wave signal to minimize motion sickness for the at least one passenger caused by the vibrations that are exhibited on the at least one passenger in the vessel.

Abstract: A sound and vibration sensing device comprising a housing, a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) including a sensor element supported inside the housing. A flexible and non-porous structural membrane is arranged to seal the housing at one end creating a first closed air volume below the sensor element and a second closed air volume above the sensor element wherein the sensor element measures changes in air pressure in the first closed air volume caused by vibration of the structural membrane induced by external acoustic pressure and structural vibration to output a combined sound and vibration signal.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a sound modification application selectively modifies one or more sounds included in one or more audio signals. In operation, the sound modification application determines classifications associated with multiple sounds included in one or more audio signals. The sound modification application selects a first frequency sub-band of a first sound included in the multiple sounds based on a first classification associated with the first sound. The sound modification application then modifies the first frequency sub-band of the first sound, without modifying at least a second frequency sub-band of the first sound, to generate a modified audio signal.

Abstract: On the one hand, a music visualization method for light shows is provided. The method uses artificial intelligence neural network machine learning, which defines the judgment standards for multiple music modes by training. Therefore, any song can be identified as consisting of one or more music modes through a music mode detection neural network. On the other hand, a music visualization apparatus for light shows is provided. The apparatus can select different light show patterns according to different music modes by means of real-time artificial intelligence music mode detection/beat detection results, and light components arranged on the apparatus are combined with intelligent processing to achieve cool and dazzling sound and light effects. The music visualization apparatus can generate light show effects that match the intensity, severity, emotional style, etc. of the music to create an immersive and artistically appealing audio-visual effect.

Abstract: A loudspeaker arrangement comprises a transducer arranged in a loudspeaker enclosure, the loudspeaker enclosure enclosing a rear part of the transducer, and an aperture-defining structure (hereinafter, the aperture) mounted on a front side of the transducer in a direction of propagation of sound emitted by the transducer. The transducer is configured to emit sound within a wide frequency range, and at frequencies of above a predetermined threshold. The aperture is configured to amplify sound at predetermined frequencies or within a predetermined frequency range within the wide frequency range, and to let sound at all other frequencies within the wide frequency range pass essentially unaltered. The loudspeaker enclosure is sized such that the resonance frequency of the loudspeaker enclosure matches the resonance frequency of the transducer in free air, wherein the resonance frequency of the transducer in free air is below the predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A system and method for a web-based portal for certification of an application software (App). A draft App is created and submitted, by an App developer, to the web-based portal where a mediate administrator reviews, approves, or rejects the draft App based on a set of targets set by an App provider. The mediate administrator communicates rejection of the draft App to the developer. The mediate administrator communicates approval of the draft App to the developer and to one or more providers. The one or more providers perform their own review of the App and may modify the approved App with further target attributes. An approved App is published by the developer. An approved and/or modified approved App may be offered to a user by way of an in-vehicle infotainment system.

Abstract: A system and method for estimating secondary path impulse response (IR) for an active noise cancellation (ANC) system to enhance performance of the ANC system in a near-imperceptible manner is provided. An adaptive music interference canceller (AMIC) uses music signals as test signals and ANC error microphones to estimate the secondary path IR between all speakers and microphones. The system validates that the music signals have sufficient audio content to be considered an adequate test signal. Furthermore, the system employs additional signal processing to ensure that a unique IR for all speakers and microphones can be obtained using the audio test signals. New coefficients of the AMIC filter are calculated, in real time, using the music signals and can be copied into the estimated secondary path for the ANC system. A supervisor unit manages enabling and disabling the AMIC as needed for calculating and copying coefficients.
