Abstract: One embodiment of the improved squeegee has a front deflector bar, and a plurality of material folding devices that are oriented and positioned on the front deflector bar such that the material encountering the front deflector bar is folded back onto material not yet encountered by the front deflector bar. The front deflector bar has an inside wall with a predetermined configuration and the material folding devices extend from this inside wall. The material folding devices may extend substantially perpendicular from the inside wall or at other angles. The improved squeegee may also have a back support section and a blade. The front deflector bar may be operatively connected to the back support section. The blade may be secured at least partially between the back support section and the front deflector bar.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an alternative pipe coupling apparatus, to conventional tapered screw threads usually used to join ends of pipe sections to fixtures. The invention utilizes a bayonet style interlocking arrangement having a male element and a female element which join together and are opposingly biased against one another by a spring-like retaining ring to ensure an appropriate rigid and leak-proof connection between two elements.
Abstract: A barstock body fluid control valve comprising a barstock body of preselected material having an inlet end and an outlet end, and a preselected cross section defining the outer walls; a through machined main flow port located eccentrically on the inlet and the outlet ends wherein the main flow port eccentric location increases the available barstock thickness at one outer wall location and decreases barstock thickness in the opposite wall.
Abstract: The invention comprises, in one form thereof, a continuous processing apparatus for high temperature thermal treatment of granular materials. The apparatus includes a vertical conveyor means with an internal feed mechanism for transporting granular feedstock upward, an external export means for taking reacted product downward wherein said internal feed heats said granular feedstock by absorbing heat from the product flowing downward through said export means, and a heating means disposed around a top portion of said vertical conveyor means and said external export means.

Abstract: This invention is for a novel method of treating carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is a very unique material and its processing requires high temperatures. Also since carbon fibers are lightweight and porous, heating is accomplished in this process by radiation with a heated gas flowing through the material. Also a float is used to transfer the material from one process station to another so as to prevent delaminating of the carbon fiber.

The checking unit outputs a discrimination result about the permission or inhibition of the use to the external of the accounting device, thereby properly inhibiting the illegal use of the terminal station and contributing to a spread of a network terminal apparatus.
Abstract: A multi-axis rotary seal system to provide a gas-tight seal between a stationary hood and the end of a rotating tube kiln comprises a stationary hood positioned at the end of the rotary tube and having extended therefrom, a fully flexible bellows attached at the other end to a structural ring which, in turn, is attached to a graphite ring, slidably pressed against a flange on the rotary tube to form an atmospheric seal. The structural ring is held to the stationary hood by multi-axis supports that allow movement of the ring in three axial directions. In operation, during expansion and contraction of the rotating tube and eccentricities of motion, the integrity of the slidable seal formed by the graphite ring against the mating surface of the tube flange, is maintained by a biasing device pressing the graphite ring and the tube flange together in slidable engagement.

Abstract: An adjustable length cargo brace for restraining loads in semi-trailers comprising two legs, one connected to the other for through an offset collar permitting a limited pivotal and sliding movement between the two legs, a pin member on one of the legs approximate the offset collar which releaseably engages one of a series of openings positioned longitudinally along the opposite leg to engage the two legs together in a pivotally toggled action as they move into parallel contacting relation and a releaseable hook member mounted on one of the legs for engaging and retaining the other leg in parallel contacting relation.
Abstract: A manually operable proofer for producing sample test printings of inks and coatings preparatory to a commercial printing operation basically comprises a frame with a spring-loaded handle, a carriage rotatably supporting a printing roll and mounted on the frame for movement between an operative position with the roll secured by the handle for printing operation and an inoperative position with the carriage and roll released by the handle to be accessible for removal for cleaning or exchange with another roll, and a doctor blade assembly urged with a predetermined force into peripheral wiping engagement with the anilox roll when in its operative position. The anilox roll preferably has multiple engraved circumferential bands for executing two or more test printings in a single operation.

Abstract: A connection for joining an actuator to a valve comprising providing at least two flanged pins each in the body of the valve, providing at least two mating holes in a body of the actuator, the mating holes being aligned with the pins, providing a tapped hole transverse to each of the mating holes, the valve body being joined to the actuator such that the pins mate slidably with the holes, with set screws in the tapped holes engaging the flanged pins to axially tension the pins to draw the valve body into physical contact with the actuator.
