  • Publication number: 20230143247
Abstract: A ferrule can be assembled in the field. A ferrule collar has a non-circular, in particular polygonal outer contour. A corresponding coding region of a ferrule housing is arranged in a portion of a contact chamber on a cable-connection side and has a non-circular, in particular polygonal cross section, in which the ferrule collar is held with a form fit over the entire spring displacement path. The ferrule spring acts on the ferrule collar over the entire displacement path. As a result, the ferrule is secured against rotation about its axis by a high holding force, which makes it easier for a fibre-optic cable to be screwed on. The structural form is particularly well-suited for use in a plug-in connector module.

  • Publication number: 20230114787
Abstract: In order to improve the shielding of a plug connector module (1, 1') and of a plug connector modular system equipped therewith, in particular against high-frequency interference fields, the insulation body (10, 10') of said module is form-fittingly surrounded all around by a shielding element (15, 15'). This additionally allows the earth connection of a metal plug connector modular frame (2) to a shield transfer element (14, 14') of the plug connector module (1, 1') and thus also an earth connection to a mating connector. Thus the shield element (15, 15') itself is also earthed all around and at multiple points, and as a result can suppress the effect of in particular high-frequency electrical and/or magnetic interference fields particularly well.

  • Patent number: 11495904
Abstract: A contact carrier retains a crimp contact inserted therein at a central collar of the crimp contact in a particularly stable manner and at the same time absorb the highest possible plugging forces. The contact carrier has an insulating body and a retaining plate, which can be mounted thereon on the connection side. Furthermore, the contact carrier has at least one detent element, which, in the unassembled state, can assumed both a position locking the plug contact and a position releasing the plug contact.
