Abstract: A method and system of managing virtual memory for a flash-memory system. Logical blocks in a buffer are used to store data copied from a physical block in a flash-memory. An operating system searches data in the buffer first. If the data is in the buffer, it is accessed. If not, the operating system searches for the data in the flash memory, meanwhile writing a logical block having a dirty flag back to a logical block.
Abstract: An electronic component carrier includes a frame, a circuit board clamp fixed to the frame for clamping a circuit board, a vibrating device for vibrating the circuit board while the circuit board is carried through a reflow oven and the temperature inside the reflow oven is a predetermined temperature, and a collector installed on the frame for collecting electronic components dropping from the circuit board.
Abstract: A broadband couple-fed planar antenna including radiating strips on the ground plane. Plural radiating strips are electrically connected to a ground plane and are formed on the same plane of the ground plane. The radiating strip has a first segment extended from an edge of the ground and a second segment bend at an angle connected to the first segment. The couple-fed planar antenna has a feeding line coupling signals to the radiating strips. The number of the radiating strips is flexible for the required bandwidth of the couple-fed plannar antenna.
Abstract: A card connector carrier structure, suitable for being mounted within a hand-held electronic device, comprises a circuit board (210) and a support tray (230) mounted to the circuit board. The circuit board is provided with a slot (216) through a thickness thereof. The support tray is formed from a thin sheet that includes a connector-receiving region (234) in the slot of the circuit board and an attachment member (232) attached to a surface (212) of the circuit board at a periphery of the slot. A card connector is further arranged in the connector-receiving region of the support tray within the slot of the circuit board. The card connector is thereby positioned within the slot, whereby an overall thickness of the card connector and the circuit board is reduced, and accordingly, a thickness of a hand-held electronic device incorporating the card connector and the circuit board can be reduced.

Abstract: A fastening assembly, used for fixedly fastening a first and a second structure (1100, 1200) of a device together, comprises an anchoring block (1500), an insert plate (1400), and a screw (1300). The first structure is provided with a hole (1110). The anchoring block, fixedly arranged on the second structure, includes two parallel holding flanges (1510, 1512) and two parallel protruding ribs (1520), wherein the holding flange (1510) further includes a slot (15101). The protruding ribs extend approximately perpendicular to the two holding flanges on two sides thereof. The insert plate is held between the holding flanges, and is provided with a threaded hole (1410) and a pair of hooked clamping members (1420) that respectively tightly clamp the protruding ribs. The screw extends through the hole of the first structure and engages in the threaded hole of the insert plate to fixedly fasten the first and second structures of the device together.

Abstract: A card connector (200) with a reinforcing structure (230) is provided for used in a handheld device. The card connector can mate with an elongated expansion card (10) which when inserted into the card connector has a portion located outside the handheld device. The card connector comprises an insulated main body (210) and a plurality of terminals (220) fixed to the main body. The terminals are used for electrically connecting the elongated expansion card with a printed circuit board (20) on which the card connector is mounted. The reinforcing structure (230) is formed from highly rigid material or high molecular weight polymer. The reinforcing structure strengthens the card connector against any external force resulting from subjecting the elongated expansion card to an external force, whereby the electrical connection between the terminals and printed circuit board will not break due to the external force.
Abstract: A buckling-up structure for latching a battery lid (3) to a casing (2) of a PDA is disclosed. The battery lid (3) is used for covering a battery accommodation groove (5). The structure comprises a latching lock (9) forming a plurality of wedging hooks (94) thereon, a plurality of wedging hooks (32, 34) on two sides of the battery lid (3), respectively. An elastic body (8) is used to exert a pushing force to the latching lock. An operation button (7) is secured to the latching lock, whereby when the operation button is moved the latching lock and the elastic body move correspondingly. When the battery lid is locked to the casing, the wedging hooks (32) engage in recessing holes (52) of the casing, and the wedging hooks (34) engage with the wedging hooks (94).
Abstract: The invention is related a keystroke structure (3) for an electronic device which includes a shell (2) defining an opening (22). The keystroke structure comprises a cap (32) made of hard plastics such as ABS resin, a flange (34) fixed to a bottom of a periphery of the cap, wherein the flange is made of a material, such as rubber which is more elastic than that for forming the cap. The cap has a portion extending upward through the opening. A rod (42) extends downwardly from a bottom of the cap. A switch assembly (4) consisting of four first switches (44) for cursor direction control and a second switch (46) for “enter” control. The first switches are activated by the rod when the cap is titled, and the second switch is activated by the rod when the cap is vertically depressed. When the cap is titled to activate one of the first switches, the flange engage with a bottom face of the shell.
