The sealing device contains a one-piece base body having a carrier portion, a contact portion, and a sealing portion. The contact portion starts from the carrier portion and protrudes in a first direction angled with respect to the carrier portion in order to rest against an edge of an end face of the cladding part. The sealing portion starts from the carrier portion and extends away from the carrier portion. The sealing portion has two spaced apart webs that bridge the edge joint. Furthermore, drywall can have at least one cladding part and a sealing device of this type.
