Abstract: The present invention provides an adhesive patch for the treatment of tinea unguium intended to be applied once a day, comprising terbinafine and/or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof in an amount of 3 mg/cm2, wherein the adhesive patch is used so that the terbinafine concentration in nails may be 295±127 ng/mg and the terbinafine concentration in plasma may be 23 pg/mL or less, 8 weeks after the start of application, per cm2 of the patch size.
Abstract: A microneedle device having a coating including a high molecular weight pharmaceutical compound substantially uniformly is provided. A microneedle device (1) includes a plurality of microneedles (3) on a microneedle substrate (2), which are capable of piercing the skin. A portion of or entire surface of the microneedles (3) and/or the microneedle substrate (2) has a coating including a coating carrier in a solid state. The coating carrier includes a high molecular weight pharmaceutical compound and polysaccharides compatible with the high molecular weight pharmaceutical compound. Herein, as the polysaccharide, for example, pullulan or hydroxypropylcellulose can be used.

Abstract: A transdermal patch comprising a backing 2 and an adhesive layer 3 laminated on the backing 2, wherein the adhesive layer 3 comprises a rosin-based resin and petroleum resin as a tackifier, the total compounding amount of the rosin-based resin and the petroleum resin is in a range of 15% by mass to 50% by mass, and compounding amount of the petroleum resin is 1/3 times by mass to 4 times by mass as that of the rosin-based resin.

As a result thereof, when a microneedle array was provided with microneedles containing noncrystalline polylactic acid which had a weight-average molecular weight of 40,000 to 100,000, it was possible to obtain a microneedle array which could maintain its functional performance.

Abstract: Provided is a microneedle device where a coating agent has been applied to microneedles having a biodegradable resin. It has been found that the application of the coating agent to microneedles of a biodegradable resin having a predetermined strength allows the microneedles to have excellent performance. Further, with regard to the coating agent, a predetermined type and amount thereof are also useful to demonstrate performance. Accordingly, when a microneedle device 1 is arranged so that at least a part of a microneedle array 2 provided with microneedles 3 made from polylactic acid having a weight average molecular weight of 40,000 or more is coated with a carrier containing physiologically active ingredients, it is possible to attain excellent migration characteristics of the physiologically active ingredients to a living body.
Abstract: An anti-inflammatory-containing plaster is provided. The anti-inflammatory-containing plaster may include, e.g., a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, a high molecular weight polyisobutylene, a low molecular weight polyisobutylene, a tackifier, a plasticizer, a dispersant, and an anti-inflammatory having a carboxyl group or a salt thereof. However, the anti-inflammatory-containing plaster does not contain L-menthol. The anti-inflammatory-containing plaster has medicament release rates of 20-64% by mass and 40-93% by mass at one hour and three hours, respectively.
Abstract: The present invention relates an adhesive patch comprising a backing layer and an adhesive layer that contains a drug, wherein the adhesive layer contains a mixed adhesive base containing a hydrocarbon rubber and a silicon-containing polymer. The adhesive patch of the invention shows extremely superior skin absorbability of a drug in a preparation, reduced skin irritation, and excellent aging stability of the drug in the preparation, and can achieve easiness of drug-taking methods and improvement in compliance.
