  • Patent number: 7443369
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device which favorably displays an image by eliminating irregularities of the ? characteristic for every manufactured liquid crystal panel. In the liquid crystal display device, when a power source is supplied thereto, a display control circuit installed therein reads out gradation voltage data corresponding to the liquid crystal panel stored in a ROM connected to the display control circuit and sets gradation voltages in a gradation voltage setting circuit installed therein. Further, upon receiving external control signals, the display control circuit sets gradation voltages in the gradation voltage setting circuit. When the set gradation voltages are inputted to a source driver section of the liquid crystal display device, the liquid crystal panel is driven and images are displayed thereby.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a display device that overcomes the limitation on tact time, and the defective phenomenon attributed to the generation of bubbles, pasting and visual irregularities at the time of laminating a film to a display panel. A polarizer is positioned in parallel to the vicinity of a main surface of a liquid crystal cell by holding two portions of the polarizer at suction stages. A portion of the polarizer is pushed and brought into contact with the main surface of the liquid crystal cell. From the portion of the polarizer, the polarizer is pushed to the main surface toward one end of the main surface along a first direction thereof. The polarizer is pushed to the main surface of the liquid crystal cell toward another end of the main surface in the first direction so as to laminate the polarizer to the main surface.

  • Patent number: 7079200
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device formed as a both-side liquid crystal display device can suppress the generation of brightness irregularities generated on a main liquid crystal display panel thereof and can display an image with a uniform brightness over the whole screen to an extent that a uniform brightness is obtained in practical use. On a bottom surface of a first recessed portion formed in a casing, an optical sheet is arranged such that the optical sheet bridges over an opening, and a proper amount of color pigment is added to the casing on which the optical sheet is arranged in a contact state, thus making the reflectance wavelength characteristic of the surface substantially equal to the reflectance wavelength characteristic of a portion of the sub liquid crystal display panel.

  • Patent number: 7045945
Abstract: The present invention decreases invalid light emitting regions, which are generated at both ends of an outer tube and enlarges a valid light emitting region of a phosphor layer, which enlarges the light emitting region of a lighting device. In a cold cathode fluorescent tube, cup-shaped electrodes are provided on the inside of both ends of a glass tube, which has a phosphor layer on the inner surface thereof, wherein each cup-shaped electrode connects to an inner lead, which supplies an electric power. A sputter source is formed on an inner wall surface of the cup-shaped electrode by sintering white metal oxide, whereby the white metal oxide which constitutes a sputter source is sputtered by evaporation, which forms a sputter film on a portion of the opening end of the cup-shaped electrode and inner wall surface of the glass tube.

  • Patent number: 6924544
Abstract: A semiconductor device with a resistor element whose the resistance value can be adjusted to a desired value without changing dimensions thereof is provided. The resistor element is formed of a poly-Si layer formed on an insulator over a semiconductor substrate. An impurity is introduced into the poly-Si layer by the use of ion implantation. In the vicinity of both ends of the poly-Si layer forming the resistor element, silicide layers each made of cobalt silicide or the like are formed over an upper surface of the poly-Si layer. The area of one silicide layer is larger than that of the other silicide layer. By adjusting the area of the one silicide layer, the length between the silicide layers is adjusted and the resistance value of the resistor element can be adjusted without changing the shape of the poly-Si layer.
