  • Patent number: 8889349
Abstract: A method for accurately counting desired cells or microorganisms (viable bacteria) in a sample fluid in which contaminants are included is provided. One or plural types of membrane-permeable fluorochromes whose fluorescence amount is amplified by binding to a nucleic acid and glycerin are added to a sample fluid containing cells or microorganisms to be counted and allowed to stand for a certain time. Glycerin is added before or after or simultaneously with the mixing of the sample fluid and the fluorochrome(s). The cells or microorganisms to be counted are counted by staining the cells or microorganisms to be counted, followed by irradiating with light having a specific wavelength to detect the fluorescence emitted from the cells or microorganisms.

  • Patent number: 8709193
Abstract: A low-temperature plasma treatment is applied to a surface of an aramid paper so as to allow the surface to have a compositional atomic ratio X (O/C) of the number of oxygen atoms (O) to the number of carbon atoms (C) ranging from 110% to 220% of a theoretical atomic ratio. The treatment is performed at an intensity ranging from 120 to 1500 W·min/m2 with a low-temperature plasma treatment apparatus of internal electrode system. The aramid paper is superposed with a nonhydrolyzable resin film and the resulting article is pressurized to give an aramid-resin film laminate. The laminate is inexpensive, has both superior electrical properties and high mechanical strength, excels in elasticity, and is useful as an insulation material.

  • Publication number: 20120306202
Abstract: The present invention provides a wind power generation system capable of suppressing an increase in output variation involved in additional installation of a wind power generator without the need for a large storage battery capacity. For example, an output variation rate at a predetermined period of an existing wind power generator in an existing wind-power generating station is determined in advance, and charge/discharge control for a storage battery device is performed to reduce an output variation in a system output of the existing wind power generator so that an output variation rate of the wind-power generating system after the additional installation of the wind power generator does not exceed the determined output variation rate of the existing wind power generator.
