Abstract: In the hydroformylation of alkenes to aldehydes, rhodium is recovered from the stripped overhead of the hydroformylation reactor by condensing the overhead, removing the bulk of the aldehyde product from the condensed overhead, stripping the residue which remains with nitrogen gas to remove minor amounts of highly volatile aldehyde product remaining in the residue and redistilling the residue to remove components from the condensed overhead which are lower boiling than the catalyst components. The catalyst components including rhodium and phosphine ligand are returned to the hydroformylation reactor.

As against comparable compounds known in the art, the polyamic acids of the present invention are distinguished by a lower inherent viscosity at an unchanged molecular weight and, consequently, by an improved processability at an equally good thermal stability.
Abstract: Thienoimidazole-toluidines of the formula I ##STR1## in which A represents ##STR2## T denotes --S--, --SO-- or --SO.sub.2 --, and R.sup.1 to R.sup.9 have the meanings stated in the description, and a process for their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions containing them, and their use as inhibitors of gastric acid secretion, are described.

Abstract: The cellulose-based product, in particular in the form of a film, contains in its wall a primary, permanent plasticizer of one or more crosslinked copolymers made from at least two components. One or more of these components are monomer units containing a terminal, ethylenically unsaturated, polymerizable group or compounds of maleic acid, or fumaric acid. A further component comprises units containing thermally crosslinked groups made from N-methylolamides of unsaturated carboxylic acids. A process is furthermore described for the production of this shaped product, in which the copolymer is metered into the viscose, and the N-methylolamide groups are thermally crosslinked with the cellulose.
