    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to the communications field and provide a bearer setup method, apparatus, and system. The method includes: receiving, by an MME, indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate a bearer type that is set up for UE; and setting up, by the MME, a bearer for the UE according to the indication information. By means of the method, indication information used to indicate a bearer type that is set up for UE is received, and different types of bearers are set up for the UE according to the indication information, so that an MME can adjust the bearer type in real time as required and set up different types of bearers for the UE, thereby efficiently transmitting sharply fluctuated data, and lowering loss of a network and the user equipment while improving user experience.

The method provided in embodiments of the present invention is used to resolve a technical problem in the prior art that normal communication of UE cannot be ensured because RSRP and/or RSRQ of neighboring cells cannot be measured based on an existing reference signal when the neighboring cells use different carrier types.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for early termination of feedback in respect of sidelink transmissions are provided. A first UE transmits at least one sidelink (SL) transmission of a first set of SL transmissions to a second UE, the first set of SL transmissions comprising an initial SL transmission and a set number of SL retransmissions. If no ACK is received, then the first UE transmits the set number of retransmissions. On the other hand, if an ACK is received, then the first UE transmits fewer than the set number of SL retransmissions when an ACK is received from the second UE before the set number of SL retransmissions has been completed. By transmitting fewer than all of the set number of SL retransmissions, resources can be freed up for other purposes. The approach may be used for SL configured grant transmission.
