Abstract: A combination of a locking button and a spindle for a lock includes a spindle having a longitudinal hole and a locking button having a grip portion for manual turning and a shank that is mounted in the longitudinal hole of the spindle. A guiding groove is defined in a circumference delimiting the longitudinal hole and extending along a circumferential direction. The shank includes a coupling section including a protrusion engaged in the guiding groove and movable between two end walls delimiting the guiding groove, allowing the locking button to be movable between a locking position and an unlocking position.

Abstract: A mortise lock includes a chassis, a handle assembly mounted to a side of the chassis, a sleeve, and a trim for returning the handle assembly. The handle assembly includes a spindle and a handle. An end of the sleeve is securely mounted around an end of the spindle to turn therewith. The other end of the sleeve receives the other end of the spindle and is securely connected to the handle. The trim includes a spring seat, a ring received in the spring seat and mounted around the sleeve, and a spring mounted on a side of the ring. The spring seat includes a plate mounted around the sleeve. A protrusion is formed on an inner periphery of the body and engaged in a longitudinal groove in the sleeve. Two ends of the spring respectively abut against two sides of a leg extending from the ring.

Abstract: An auxiliary lock includes a dustproof support ring mounted to an outer side of a door, a cylinder mounted to the outer side of the door, a cylinder housing mounted to the outer side of the door and securely mounted around the cylinder, a trim enclosing the cylinder housing, and a deadbolt mechanism. The dustproof support ring includes a flange on an inner side thereof. The flange extends into a bore hole of the door and is in contact with an inner periphery delimiting the bore hole. A dustproof wall extends from the flange further into the bore hole and is in contact with the inner periphery delimiting the bore hole. The dustproof wall includes a notch through which a retractor of the deadbolt mechanism extends.

The outside handle assembly includes an outside spindle having a first end partially received in the chassis and operably connected to at least one bolt of the chassis such that rotation of the outside spindle causes retraction of the bolt. The first end of the outside spindle includes a perimeter groove, forming a fragile portion. An outside handle includes an end securely connected to a second end of the outside spindle to turn therewith. The fragile portion of the outside spindle is broken when an excessive force is applied to the outside handle. Thus, unauthorized opening of the door by forcibly turning the outside handle is prevented. Further, the mortise lock can be easily installed, and the cost of the mortise lock is cut.

Abstract: A lock includes an inside handle, an outside handle, and a body between the handles. A spindle is mounted to each handle to turn therewith. Two pivotable wheels are mounted in the case and operably connected to the inside and outside spindles and a latch bolt such that turning of either handle causes retraction of the latch bolt. One of the wheels engaging with the outside spindle includes a notch communicated with a through-hole of the wheel. A lever extends through the notch of the wheel and includes an end in the through-hole of the notched wheel. When a locking plug is moved to a blocking position, the end of the lever sways to move the outside spindle out of the through-hole of the notched wheel such that the outside handle turns idly when the outside handle is turned.
