Further, the present invention relates to compositions comprising lubricant and fire hazard-reducing agent and methods for reducing flammability of flammable refrigerant, for delivering a fire hazard-reducing agent to a refrigeration or air conditioning apparatus, and for replacing a non-flammable refrigerant with a flammable refrigerant.
Abstract: A method of treating a hydrocarbon fluid that includes contacting the hydrocarbon fluid with an effective amount of ozone. A method for separating contaminants from a contaminated material includes supplying the contaminated material to a processing chamber, moving the contaminated material through the processing chamber, heating the contaminated material by externally heating the processing chamber so as to volatilize the contaminants in the contaminated material, removing vapor resulting from the heating, wherein the vapor comprises the volatilized contaminants, collecting, condensing, and recovering the volatilized contaminants, and contacting the volatilized contaminants with an effective amount of ozone.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for redirecting telephone calls from a wireless device in a telecommunications network. The existence of a predefined condition is determined after an incoming call is received in the wireless device. The predefined condition may be based on a number of criteria including the current time and date, the current quantity of minutes used in the wireless device, the current estimated bill for usage of the wireless device, a current quantity of received calls in the wireless device when the incoming call is received, and the telephone number associated with the incoming call when the incoming call is received. If the predefined conditions exists, call forwarding rules stored in the wireless device are retrieved and executed from the wireless device. The call forwarding rules include instructions, based on the predefined condition, for redirecting the incoming call.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for improving the specific activity of a dehydrated enzyme catalyst having nitrilase activity for hydrolysis of glycolonitrile to glycolic acid upon rehydration. In particular, a process is provided comprising pretreating an enzyme catalyst having nitrilase activity with glutaraldehyde, immobilizing the gutaraldehyde-preteated enzyme catalyst and chemically cross-linking the enzyme catalyst prior to dehydration. Upon rehydration, the enzyme catalyst exhibits improved specific nitrilase activity as compared to enzyme catalysts having nitrilase activity that are dehydrated and rehydrated without the processing described herein.
Abstract: An instant message enabled device and method are provided. The method may include accessing at least one control policy for usage of an instant messaging (IM) service using an IM enabled client device. The method may also include installing data related to the at least one control policy at the IM enabled client device to modify functionality of the IM enabled client device to comply with the at least one control policy.
Abstract: A system and method of using a controller and firewall devices. Each of the firewall devices operate in an active mode during normal operation. The method may include the steps of determining when a first and/or second redundant data packet is received from a first/second firewall device, respectively, determining a valid sequence number, and transmitting the first/second redundant data packet to a target device when a sequence number of the first/second redundant data packet matches the valid sequence number and a first/second logical condition is satisfied, respectively. The first/second logical condition is at least one of the second/first firewall device is failed, a sequence number of the second/first redundant data packet varies from the valid sequence number, and the first/second firewall device is a primary firewall device.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aptamer or an active fragment thereof raised against the semi-conserved duffy binding ligand domain 1?, DBL1?, region of the Plasmodium falciparum erythrocyte membrane protein 1, PfEMPI, which aptamer has an effect against malaria, in particular severe cerebral malaria.
Abstract: In a particular embodiment a method is disclosed for inserting data objects into a video stream including but not limited to decomposing using a compression technique video content into a plurality of video portions, a low-quality video portion of the plurality of video portions capable of reproducing a low quality version of the video content, the other video portions capable of reproducing higher quality versions of the video content when combined with the low quality portion; sending the low-quality video portion to the subscriber terminal for storage at the subscriber terminal; and receiving from the subscriber terminal a selection request corresponding to the video content after sending the low-quality video portion to the subscriber terminal. A computer readable medium and apparatus for performing the method are also disclosed.
Abstract: [Object] The present invention provides for a frictional resistance reduction ship able to decrease friction resistance and improve fuel efficiency. [Solution] When the navigation speed increases, and negative pressure which is created by the wing 33 increases, a result is that the air-liquid interface is pushed down further. Due to the air and the water (sea water) moving different speeds, density differs between air and water (as shown in FIG. 7), micro-bubbles are generated in the micro-bubble generator according to the Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability mechanism, and these micro-bubbles flow through onto the downstream side along the hull.
Abstract: Disclosed are methods to remove residual fluorine left in a chamber surface without the use of a plasma device or temperature elevation. The disclosed methods may permit the next step in the deposition process to occur more quickly.
