  • Patent number: 7022309
Abstract: Targeting molecules are provided for use in delivering imaging agents to epithelial tissue. The targeting molecule comprises a polypeptide that forms a closed covalent loop, contains at least three peptide domains having ?-sheet character, each of the domains being separated by domains lacking ?-sheet character. The targeting molecule specifically binds to a basolateral factor attached to a basolateral domain of an epithelial cell surface causing internalization of a linked imaging agent into the cells. The polypeptide or imaging agent may be linked to a peptide amino acid sequence that directs delivery of the imaging agent to a carcinoma cell, a nucleus, or an endoplasmic reticulum.

  • Patent number: 7022402
Abstract: An asymmetric multi-layer insulative film of improved internal adhesive strength is made by combining a layer of polyimide and a high-temperature bonding layer, the high-temperature bonding layer being derived from a high temperature base polymer made of poly(tetrafluoroethylene-co-perfluoro[alkyl vinyl ether]) (PFA) and optionally blended with from 0–60 weight percent poly(tetrafluoroethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene) (FEP). The polyimide and high-temperature bonding layer laminate optionally also contains a layer of unsintered, partially sintered, or totally sintered polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) bonded directly to the high-temperature bonding layer. In addition, the polyimide high-temperature bonding layer laminate may be adhered to a poly(tetrafluoroethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene) (FEP) adhesive primer layer to more effectively bond the polyimide core layer to the high-temperature bonding layer.

  • Patent number: 7022787
Abstract: Improved suspensions of transition metal complexes of 2,6-diacylpyridine(bisimines) or 2,6-pyridinedicarboxaldehyde(bisimines), which are useful in catalysts for the polymerization or oligomerization of olefins, are prepared by sonicating a mixture of one or more of these complexes and an inert liquid. The resulting suspensions can be directly used as olefin polymerization or oligomerization catalyst components in oligomerization or polymerization processes. These processes may produce, for example, polyolefins useful for molding resins or films, or linear ?-olefins.

  • Patent number: 7018910
Abstract: A process for producing a structure of a thin layer of semiconductor material obtained from a composite structure donor wafer. The donor wafer includes a lattice parameter matching layer of a matching substrate that advantageously has an upper layer of semiconductor material having a first lattice parameter. A film of semiconductor material having a second, nominal, lattice parameter that is substantially different from the first lattice parameter is strained by the matching layer. A region of weakness is created in the matching substrate to facilitate splitting. A relaxed layer has a nominal lattice parameter that is substantially identical to the first lattice parameter. The relaxed layer is transferred to a receiving substrate. A number of different wafers can be made by this process.

  • Patent number: 7018909
Abstract: The invention relates to methods of forming a relaxed or pseudo-relaxed layer on a substrate, wherein the relaxed layer may be a semiconductor material. An implementation of the method includes growing an elastically stressed semiconductor material layer on a donor substrate, forming a glassy layer of a viscous material and bonding it to the stressed layer, removing a portion of the donor substrate to form a structure that includes the glassy layer, the stressed layer and a surface layer of donor substrate, and then heat treating the structure at a temperature of at least a viscosity temperature of the glassy layer to relax the stressed layer. The glassy layer can also be bonded to a receiving substrate so that the structure can be transferred thereto. Implementations also relate to structures obtained from the method.

  • Patent number: 7020659
Abstract: A bi-directional relationship manager is described for setting a new reference value for managing bi-directional relationships between objects in an object model. The bi-directional relationship manager receives bi-directional relationship information indicating interrelation between objects having one or more bi-directional relationships. It creates proxy objects based on the bi-directional relationship information for selected bi-directional relationship objects having bi-directional relationships. A created proxy object receives a new reference value to be set in a selected object relating to a bi-directional relationship. It determines, using one or more of the proxy objects, a new peer value to be set in a peer object which has the bi-directional relationship with the selected object, and sets the new peer value to a proxy object created for the peer object.

  • Publication number: 20060060922
Abstract: A method of producing a substrate that has a transfer crystalline layer transferred from a donor wafer onto a support. The transfer layer can include one or more foreign species to modify its properties. In the preferred embodiment an atomic species is implanted into a zone of the donor wafer that is substantially free of foreign species to form an embrittlement or weakened zone below a bonding face thereof, with the weakened zone and the bonding face delimiting a transfer layer to be transferred. The donor wafer is preferably then bonded at the level of its bonding face to a support. Stresses are then preferably applied to produce a cleavage in the region of the weakened zone to obtain a substrate that includes the support and the transfer layer. Foreign species are preferably diffused into the thickness of the transfer layer prior to implantation or after cleavage to modify the properties of the transfer layer, preferably its electrical or optical properties.
