Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer readable medium generate a webpage using keywords identified from user input and user email communications. The keywords are identified, ranked, and transmitted to a server where a search engine uses one or more of the keywords to identify items of interest such as articles or videos. A web page is generated using selected items of interest or links to the items of interest which may then be displayed to a user as the user's homepage.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing by wet spinning a continuous filament based on hyaluronic acid in free acid form, notably soluble in water. The preparation method according to the invention comprises the following steps: a) preparing a spinnable aqueous solution of hyaluronic acid or of a hyaluronic acid salt, preferably a sodium hyaluronate solution; b) extruding said solution to an extrusion die; c) forming the filament by passing the extruded solution into a bath of acetic acid, concentrated to more than 80%, drawing and drying. The invention also relates to a filament based on hyaluronic acid in free acid form, said filament having swelling properties in water and physiological liquids and moreover being solubilizable in water under certain conditions.

Abstract: A process and system for user-controlled configuration of an Internet protocol network. The user may supply input for generating a network configuration profile, which includes a number of classes of service (COSs) for prioritizing network traffic, including video transmission. A quality of service (QOS) may be measured and compared with a COS for video transmission. Depending on the measured QOS, a network alert may be issued and a priority of packets associated with the COS for video transmission may be increased.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture consistent with the present invention provide an electronic marketplace that matches units of content from secondary content providers with suitable vacancies from primary content providers. Vacancies may constitute, or be included in, any digital transmission containers, such as a television or radio programming, web pages, and the like. Specifically, the electronic marketplace automatically matches content offered by secondary content providers with vacancies offered by primary content providers thus filling the vacancies in these containers through a real-time content trading, placement, and distribution system. To do so, attributes associated with the vacancies and with units of secondary content are used to trade and match suitable vacancies with suitable content. This invention enables both secondary content owners and vacancy owners (primary content providers) to obtain the full commercial benefit of their secondary content and containers.
Abstract: Example browser-based secure desktop applications for open computing platforms are disclosed. An example method disclosed herein to provide secure desktop functionality to a computing platform comprises providing, in response to a first request, a secure desktop application to the computing platform, the secure desktop application for execution by a browser on the computing platform, and establishing a secure communication connection between a service node and the secure desktop application, the secure communication connection to provide the secure desktop application with access to a trusted entity, the secure communication connection being accessible to a trusted application downloaded to the computing platform for execution by the browser in association with the secure desktop application, the secure communication connection being inaccessible to an untrusted application not executed in association with the secure desktop application.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an interdigitated back contact solar cell, comprising steps of: (a) providing a doped silicon substrate; (b) forming a first silicon dioxide layer on the front surface and the rear surface; (c) depositing a boron-containing doping paste on the first silicon dioxide layer of the rear surface in a first pattern; (d) heating the silicon substrate; (e) removing the first silicon dioxide layer; (f) forming a second silicon dioxide layer on the front surface and the rear surface; (g) depositing a phosphorus-containing doping paste on the second dioxide layer of the rear surface in a second pattern; (h) heating the silicon substrate; and (i) removing the second silicon dioxide layer from the silicon substrate, wherein the first pattern and the second pattern collectively form an interdigitated pattern.

Abstract: A method for redirecting video content includes receiving a video signal at the set-top box and decoding the video signal to produce unrendered video data. The unrendered video data is encoded and provided to the remote device via a wide area network. By encoding unrendered, rather than rendered, video data for transmission to the remote device, the need for an encoding device external to the set-top box is obviated.
Abstract: In an ?-olefin manufacturing process by the oligomerization of ethylene using an iron complex of a diimine of a 2,6-diacylpyridine or a 2,6-pyridinecarboxaldehyde, in which certain substituted iminoaryl groups are present, less higher molecular weight unwanted products are produced when the diimine and/or its precursor arylamine does not have impurities with substitution on a second ortho position to the imino group. This leads to less fouling of the process apparatus and higher yields of desired ?-olefins.
Abstract: Devices, systems, methods, media, and programs for detecting an emotional state change in an audio signal are provided. A plurality of segments of the audio signal is received, with the plurality of segments being sequential. Each segment of the plurality of segments is analyzed, and, for each segment, an emotional state and a confidence score of the emotional state are determined. The emotional state and the confidence score of each segment are sequentially analyzed, and a current emotional state of the audio signal is tracked throughout each of the plurality of segments. For each segment, it is determined whether the current emotional state of the audio signal changes to another emotional state based on the emotional state and the confidence score of the segment.

Abstract: A centralized wireless local area network access controller includes a memory that stores instructions, and a processor that executes the instructions. The instructions cause the centralized wireless local area network access controller to perform a process. The process includes receiving, via a cellular network, information from a dual mode mobile device within range of a wireless local area network. The process also includes confirming that the dual mode mobile device can communicate via the wireless local area network. The process also includes sending instructions for the dual mode mobile device to communicate via the wireless local area network.
Abstract: A system and methodology that facilitates signaling-less call setup and teardown by employing observed Quality of Experience (QoE) and resource demands is provided. Moreover, the system provides an environment for supersonic treatment of observed QoE and Quality of Service (QoS) demands for mobile applications. Specifically, a monitoring component is employed to determine session state information associated with a traffic flow, which includes observed QoE and resource demand data. The session state information is stored in a shared memory location and can be analyzed to modify and/or create a network policy for the traffic flow. The network policy is applied to one or more traffic flows to minimize signaling exchanges between a communication network and a mobile station.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing security in an intranet network are disclosed. For example, the method receives a packet at a customer edge router, and applies an inbound access control list by the customer edge router to the packet if the packet is destined to a server in a protected server group, wherein said protected server group identifies one or more servers within the intranet network to be protected. The method applies an outbound access control list by the customer edge router to the packet if the packet is from a server in the protected server group.
Abstract: Audio and video signals are synchronized for pleasing presentation of content. As content is streamed to a device, an audio portion may lag or lead a video portion. Spoken words, for example, are out of synch with the lip movements. Video time stamps are synchronized to audio time stamps to ensure streaming content is pleasing.
