The WTRU may then send a link establishment confirmation broadcast message once a multicast or unicast link has been established, at which point the WTRU may send and receive a multicast message. The link establishment request message may be sent based on one or more triggers: receiving a QoS flow, needing a new sidelink radio bearer, determining that a new QoS flow or radio bearer requires network controlled admission control, and/or receive a unicast and/or multicast establishment request. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a DCI that includes information indicating two channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resources and four CSI reporting resources. Each CSI-RS resource may be associated with two CSI reporting resources. The WTRU may monitor a first CSI-RS resource for a CSI-RS. If the WTRU does not identify the CSI-RS in the first CSI-RS resource, the WTRU may monitor a second CSI-RS resource for the CSI-RS. The WTRU may receive the CSI-RS on the first CSI-RS resource or the second CSI-RS resource. The WTRU may determine availabilities of the first and/or the second CSI reporting resource associated with the CSI-RS resource on which the WTRU received the CSI-RS. The WTRU may transmit a CSI report on an available CSI reporting resource.

    Abstract: A relay wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a data transmission from a target WTRU. The data transmission from the target WTRU may be or may include an implicit indication that the target WTRU is unable to listen for a message directed to the target WTRU. The message directed to the target WTRU may be a broadcast preemption message (BPM) and may be transmitted from a source WTRU. Based on the reception of the data transmission from the target WTRU, the relay WTRU may determine that the target WTRU is unable to listen for the BPM. Based on the determination, the relay WTRU may monitor for the BPM. The relay WTRU may receive and decode the BPM. The relay WTRU may determine whether to relay the BPM in a message, such as a broadcast relay message (BRM). The relay WTRU may transmit the BRM to the target WTRU.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for operating in an unlicensed band are disclosed herein. In one example, a device may receive configuration information that includes a maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) and a plurality of parameters including a plurality of transmission opportunity windows (TOWs). Based on the configuration information, the device may split a transmission into a plurality of bursts that may be grouped into sets of bursts based on how many bursts fit within a TOW. The number of bursts in a set of bursts may be less than or equal to the MCOT. The device may perform a clear channel assessment (CCA) to determine if the channel is busy and to determine a start time within the TOW for the bursts. The device may then transmit the set of bursts for that TOW, where each burst may have a burst indicator (BI).

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for interleaving coded bits. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may generate a plurality of polar encoded bits using polar encoding. The WTRU may divide the plurality of polar encoded bits into sub-blocks of equal size in a sequential manner. The WTRU may apply sub-block wise interleaving to the sub-blocks using an interleaver pattern. The sub-blocks associated with a subset of the sub-blocks may be interleaved, and sub-blocks associated with another subset of the sub-blocks may not be interleaved. The sub-block wise interleaving may include applying interleaving across the sub-blocks without interleaving bits associated with each of the sub-blocks. The WTRU may concatenate bits from each of the interleaved sub-blocks to generate interleaved bits, and store the interleaved bits associated with the interleaved sub-blocks in a circular buffer. The WTRU may select a plurality of bits for transmission from the interleaved bits.

    Abstract: A WTRU apparatus and method for operation thereby are provided. The method may comprise receiving, from a network, a mapping rule which indicates HARQ feedback characteristics to employ for a QoS level and a channel load. The WTRU may determine a QoS level of data buffered for transmission and may further determine a channel load of a channel. Based on the QoS level and channel load, HARQ feedback characteristics may be determined. The WTRU may then transmit an SCI to another WTRU which indicates the HARQ feedback characteristics. In an embodiment, the mapping rule may indicate that a HARQ feedback format is to be used for HARQ feedback of the data. The data may be transmitted and HARQ feedback of the data may be received in accordance with the HARQ feedback format. Groupcast data may be transmitted to a plurality of WTRUs and feedback my be received.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving a broadcast configuration indicating when a change in a RAN function termination occurs is provided, for example, by a timer value. The broadcast configuration may be received from a satellite, blimp or other moving transmitter. A dedicated configuration may also be received from the serving cell. The dedicated configuration may include a preamble, a transient configuration and an indication of a layer 2 behavior. If a WTRU detects a change in RAN function termination, the WTRU may suspend any uplink data transmissions, apply the transient configuration and transmit the preamble to a target cell. The configuration information includes an indication regarding whether the WTRU is able to include any one or a combination of a request signal or a feedback signal in the signal transmitted to the gNB. The transmitted signal to the gNB may include a control field that indicates additional SIB request information. The transmitted signal may provide feedback for the received system information.

A gNB and a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may operate in unlicensed spectrum. The gNB may perform listen-before-talk operation, and when successful, may send a downlink control channel with a slot format indication (SFI) to the WTRU. There may also be a handshaking procedure with an exchange of a request to transmit (RTT) and a request to receive (RTR). Prior to receiving the downlink channel, the WTRU may monitor search spaces at a first level, and once the downlink channel is received the WTRU may monitor search spaces at a second level. At the end of transmission, the WTRU may revert back to monitoring search spaces at the first level.

A WTRU may store a first path from the WTRU to a first subscriber and a second path from the WTRU to a second subscriber. A message from a topology manager may be received. The message may indicate a change to a network topology. In response to a determination that the change to the network topology relates to the first path and does not relate to the second path, the WTRU may remove the first path from the memory and maintain the second path in the memory. The WTRU may send a request to the topology manager for a third path to replace the first path that was removed from memory. In response to the above determination, a portion of the first path may be removed and replaced according to the above mechanism.
