Abstract: An aromatic amine derivative having a specific structure. An organic electroluminescence device which is composed of one or more organic thin film layers sandwiched between a cathode and an anode, wherein at least one of the organic thin film layers, especially a hole transporting layer, contains the aromatic amine derivative. The aromatic amine derivative has at least one substituted or unsubstituted dibenzofuran skeleton and at least one substituted or unsubstituted terphenylene skeleton. Because the molecules in the aromatic amine derivate hardly crystallize, organic electroluminescence devices improving their production yield and having prolonged lifetime are provided.

Abstract: In an organic electroluminescence display device (30) comprising an organic EL element (26) having a structure wherein an organic luminescent medium (24) is sandwiched between a top electrode (20) and a bottom electrode (22), and a driving circuit (14) for driving the organic EL element (26), the organic luminescent medium (24) comprises a host compound and a triplet-related luminous compound and the driving circuit (14) applies a electric pulse voltage or pulse current having a frequency of 30 Hz or more and a duty ratio of 1/5 or less. In this way, it is possible to provide an organic EL display device which consumes a low electric power and has a long luminous life span, and a method for driving the same.

Abstract: The present invention proposes a lubricating oil for refrigerators comprising, as the base oil, a polyester-based derivative or a polyvinyl ether derivative and a polycarbonate-based oxygenated compound; a polyoxyalkylene glycol derivative; or a polyester-based derivative or a polyvinyl ether derivative and a polyoxyalkylene glycol derivative. The lubricating oil exhibits excellent miscibility with a refrigerant having one carbon atom and no chlorine atoms and, in particular, with difluoromethane and provides a hydraulic fluid composition exhibiting excellent antiwear, lubricity and stability.
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical semiconductor sealing material comprising a radically polymerized polymer of a methacrylate ester having an alicyclic hydrocarbon group containing 7 or more carbon atoms, e.g. an adamantyl group, a norbornyl group, or a dicyclopentanyl group; and an optical semiconductor sealing material comprising a radically polymerized polymer of 50 to 97 mass % of the methacrylate ester and 3 to 50 mass % of acrylate ester having a hydroxyl group. The optical semiconductor sealing material of the present invention is highly transparent and stable to UV light and thus does not undergo yellowing. In addition, the material exhibits excellent compatibility between heat resistance and refractive index, does not undergo deformation or cracking during heating processes such as reflow soldering, and shows high processability.
Abstract: Disclosed is an aromatic diamine derivative represented by the following general formula (I), which has a chrysene structure in which a phenyl group having a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group is a substituent for an amino group. Also disclosed is an organic electroluminescence device including an organic thin film layer formed of one or more layers including at least a light emitting layer and interposed between a cathode and an anode, in which at least one layer of the organic thin film layer contains the aromatic diamine derivative by itself or as a component of a mixture, the device having a long lifetime and high luminous efficiency.
