Abstract: In a valve train of an internal combustion engine, which valve train comprises an elongate anti-rotation bridge (6) comprising receptions spaced behind one another for receiving valve tappets configured as roller tappets (4), one of which tappets is arranged in each reception and is directed with a tappet roller (3) toward a cam (2) of a camshaft (1), the roller tappet (4) of the invention comprises on an outer peripheral surface, raised tappet contours (10, 11) that engage into retention grooves of the bridge (6) within the reception.
Abstract: The invention proposes a switchable tappet (1) for the direct transmission of a cam lift to a tappet push rod. A coiled compression spring (15), used as a lost motion spring, for loading the inner element (4) is shifted axially out of a housing (2). For this purpose, the inner element (4) comprises an extension (15a) that projects out of the housing (2) and is surrounded by the coiled compression spring (15). This measure contributes to minimizing the total mass of the switchable tappet (1) because the overall length of the housing (2) is shortened.

Abstract: The invention concerns an electrically rotatable shaft, and more particularly, an adjusting shaft (1) of a fully variable mechanical valve train of an internal combustion engine, said shaft comprising an adjusting cam (2). The rapid and exact rotation of the adjusting shaft (1) that is required for the fully variable valve train is achieved by the fact that the valve train comprises an actuator (3) that comprises an adjusting lever (4) connected rotationally fast to the adjusting shaft (1), and the free end of the adjusting lever is articulated through a forked lever (5) on a screw nut ((8) of a screw-and-nut drive (6) that is driven by an electromotor (7).
Abstract: A method for making a support (6) for a valve stem in a lever-type cam follower made of sheet metal is proposed. According to the invention, this support (6) with its guide walls (7, 8) is made by cold forging.
Abstract: A bearing arrangement (1) for pivotable mounting of a shift lever (2) by a casing (10) in a housing (3) that provides a tilt axis (9a) and a pivot axis (8a) for the shift lever (2). The tilt axis (9a) and the pivot axis (8a) are mutually spaced apart.
Abstract: A sieve filter for fluid lines, especially for hydraulic pressure lines (2) in internal combustion engines which is formed of a hollow cylindrical main body (3) with a fluid inlet (4) and a fluid outlet (5), and of a fine mesh filter element (6) for through flow by fluid which has a bypass function when the filter element (6) is stopped up or filtering highly viscous fluid. The sieve filter (1) is biased by a spring element (7), and is insertable together with the spring element (7), between two axially spaced opposing surfaces (8, 9) inside the pressure line (2) such that its fluid inlet (4) and the spring element (7) are prestressed against the opposing surfaces (8, 9), whereby the main body (3) of the sieve filter (1) closes a bypass fluid channel passing the filter element (6) which is clearable through an axial displacement of the main body (3) against the force of the spring element (7) resulting from the rise of fluid pressure on the filter element.

Abstract: A sieve filter (1) for fluid lines or conduits which are formed of an annular disk-like fluid inlet (3) and an annular disk-like fluid outlet (4) with a fine mesh filter element arranged there between that is braced by stiffening bars (5), and which has a bypass function when the filter element (6) is stopped up or with highly viscous fluid. The fluid inlet (3) of the sieve filter (1) is constructed with the bypass function in that it has a smaller outside diameter than the fluid outlet (4) and is sealed off by a pressure relief valve (7). When the filter element (6) is stopped up or with highly viscous fluid in the line, the fluid inlet (3) is cleared by opening the pressure relief valve (7) as a bypass, through which the fluid is conducted unfiltered to the fluid outlet (4) of the sieve filter (1).
Abstract: In a linear antifriction bearing comprising a guide rail (1) which has a U-shaped cross section and on whose inner side raceways (4) parallel to the rail longitudinal direction are arranged, and comprising a running carriage (2) which can be displaced longitudinally and is supported by rolling elements (3) on the raceways (4) inside the guide rail (1), the rolling elements (3) are arranged in a plurality of endless tracks on a supporting body (5) of the running carriage (2).
Abstract: A drive belt of an internal combustion engine has a first pulley mounted on a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine, and a second pulley mounted on a shaft of a starter generator of the internal combustion engine. A belt is looped about both pulleys. A tensioner includes two tensioning arms, each of which loading a belt run of the belt and operating either as load-carrying belt run or non-load carrying belt run. Both tensioning arms are disposed to pivot about a rotation axis, with tensioning rollers mounted onto the tensioning arms and spring-biased against the belt. The tensioning arm disposed respectively upon the load-carrying belt run is urged into a stop position by a force applied by the belt.
Abstract: A device for changing the control times of gas exchange valves in an internal combustion engine including a crankshaft driven component, and a camshaft component driven by a camshaft and affixed thereto is provided. The crankshaft driven component is connected to the camshaft component for power transmission via two pressure chambers. The pressure action causes a relative rotation or hydraulic adjustment of the camshaft component relative to the crankshaft driven component. In addition, the device has an impulse generator wheel fixed to the camshaft component, for ascertaining the position of the camshaft, and a spring attached to the two components for rotating the camshaft to a preferred position for starting the internal combustion engine. The spring is arranged outside the device in a hollow space located between the impulse generator wheel and the axial side facing the wheel, and is enclosed at least on two sides by the impulse-generator wheel.
