Abstract: A method of precipitating cell membrane fragments from a cell lysate is disclosed. The method comprises contacting the cell lysate with a hydrophobic chelator and a metal ion under conditions that allow precipitation of the cell membrane fragments. Kits for precipitating cell membrane fragments are also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a continuous monitoring system which will monitor the pipes without the need of shutting down of the plants. The major issues in designing such a system using magnetostriction as per prior art is the loss of magnetization of the permanent magnets used to provide the magnetic bias and also the disbonding of interfaced adhesives with which the magnetostrictive ribbons are bonded at high temperatures. The invention identifies a novel sensor which can be taken up to high temperatures without any loss of signal strength, this is achieved by generating guided waves using a special amorphous magnetostrictive ribbons. L(0, 2) mode waves are generated using these ribbons to monitor pipes working at high temperatures as per the invention.
Abstract: A system and method for decomposing municipal solid waste (MSW) under anaerobic conditions. The system includes a bioreactor landfill with the MSW, a leachate recirculation unit in connection with the bioreactor landfill, a multilevel thermocouple unit, placed inside the bioreactor landfill for monitoring temperature in the bioreactor landfill. Further, the system includes a sensor for monitoring moisture level within the bioreactor landfill. Furthermore, the system includes the leachate recirculation unit configured to initiate recirculation of a leachate, collected from the bioreactor landfill, when temperature in the bioreactor reaches a determined temperature and a determined moisture level.
Abstract: This invention relates to articles of high permeability and flux. Particularly useful in dialysis made from filaments produced from a composition of polysulphones and Vitamin ETPGS. This invention also includes a process for producing such articles.
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and system for non-uniform intensity mapping using a high performance enterprise computing system with enhanced precision cooling, enabling extended over-clocking and over-voltage operation. A Kalman filter embedded in the processor predicts and corrects the input data flux for real-time use by taking care of over-clocking and over-voltage.

Abstract: Gas hydrate slurry formation systems are provided. The gas hydrate slurry formation system includes a cavitation chamber configured to receive a fluid and a cavitation device placed within the cavitation chamber. The cavitation device is configured to form a plurality of bubbles within the fluid in the cavitation chamber. The gas hydrate slurry formation system also includes a gas inlet configured to introduce a gas within the cavitation chamber such that the gas is entrained in the plurality of bubbles to form a plurality of gas-entrained bubbles. The plurality of gas-entrained bubbles implode within the cavitation chamber to form a gas hydrate slurry.
Abstract: A flip-flop circuit for enhancing clock rates in high speed electronic circuits, the flip-flop circuit having an input terminal, an output terminal, and a third terminal that controls the flow of signal from the input terminal to the output terminal, comprising: two latches arranged in a master-slave configuration such that the input terminal of the first latch is also the input terminal of the flip-flop and the output terminal of the second latch is also the output terminal of the flip-flop; and at least one feedback path that adds signal to the input of the flip-flop from one of the outputs of the two latches.
Abstract: The preparation of silver quantum clusters embedded in organic-templated-boehmite-nanoarchitecture (OTBN) and its use as a sensor for quantity of water flow measured by change of color in visible light upon flow of contaminated water have been provided. Silver quantum clusters-embedded OTBN are highly luminescent. Since the quantum clusters are embedded in the matrix, they are highly stable over a long period of time. The composition described here is utilized in the form of a device for ‘visible/ultraviolet light color change-based detection’ upon passage of water through a water purification device. Upon interaction with ions present in water, luminescent silver clusters undergo chemical transformation to Ag2S nanoparticles. The transformation is reflected in the form of visible color change (from pink to black) and luminescence quenching (from red emission to negligible luminescence).
Abstract: An adsorbent composition comprising a nanoscale shell of metal oxide or hydroxide on an organic-templated-boehmite-nanoarchitecture (OTBN) is provided. The nanoscale shell is prepared by impregnating OTBN with a metal or a non-metal ion, followed by in-situ hydrolysis of the deposited ion on the OTBN surface. The thickness of the shell is less than about 3 nm, which is less than the size of OTBN core. The number of layers of the shell is flexible, thereby leading to a multi-layer nanoscale hybrid composition. The adsorbent composition is capable of removing inorganic anions such as fluoride from water, with an increased adsorption capacity.
Abstract: A SDN controlled Overlay Network. Embodiments disclosed herein relate to multi-RAT (Radio Access Technology) wireless communication network and more particularly to a SDN (Software Defined Networking) controlled network overlaid on a multi-RAT wireless communication network. Embodiments herein enhance relay functionality in wireless communication networks using overlay networks, wherein the overlay network is controlled and managed by a SDN (Software Defined Networking) controller.

Abstract: A method for speech enhancement in speech communication devices and more specifically in hearing aids for suppressing stationary and non-stationary background noise in the input speech signal signals is disclosed. The method uses spectral subtraction wherein the noise spectrum is updated using quantile-based estimation without voice activity detection and the quantile values are approximated by dynamic quantile tracking without involving large storage and sorting of past spectral samples. The technique permits use of a different quantile at each frequency bin for noise estimation without introducing processing overheads. The preferred embodiment uses analysis-modification-synthesis based on Fast Fourier transform (FFT) and it can be integrated with other FFT-based signal processing techniques used in the hearing aids and speech communication devices.
Abstract: Processing of polymer-metal blend composition involving viscosity control under ambient conditions suitable for shape forming and homogeneous green body preparation. The advancement involves effective controlling of the rate of settling of the metal particles in polymer-metal blend under ambient conditions to generate a cost effective and simple process for producing shape formable dough. Advantageously, the present invention provides a rapid, energy saving process involving minimum material loss and utilizing non hazardous solvent system such as water.
Abstract: In accordance with the present subject matter there is provided a process for catalytic decomposition of lower hydrocarbons to produce carbon oxides free hydrogen and bamboo shaped carbon nanotubes over a catalyst composition. Abstract: Methods of forming metal nanoparticle-graphene composites are provided. The methods can include mixing a metal precursor with graphite oxide in the presence of a liquid medium to form a metal precursor-graphite oxide mixture, and exfoliating the graphite oxide and reducing the metal precursor in the metal precursor-graphite oxide mixture to deposit metal nanoparticles on a first major surface of a graphene sheet formed by exfoliation of the graphite oxide.
Abstract: Method and system for the remediation of contaminated earth from hazardous substances in a batch-wise ex-situ on site manner. At least one mobile earth moving equipment, at least one mobile tumbler reactor and at least one liquid-solid separator are organized at a location in the proximity of the contaminated site. Contaminated earth portions are collected from the contaminated site batch by batch in the mobile earth moving equipment and transferred to the mobile tumbler reactor at the location. The contaminated earth portions in the mobile tumbler reactor are dosed with cleaning agents and water washed in the reactor under agitation or tumbling. The mixture of water washed earth portions and wash water with cleaning agents transferred into the liquid-solid separator and the wash water with the cleaning agents is separated from the mixture in the separator.
