    Abstract: A system for monitoring flow of fluid through a pipeline is disclosed. The system includes a ferromagnetic strip mounted on an outer surface of the pipeline. A solenoid coil is wound around the ferromagnetic strip and is connectable to a power source. A plurality of magnets is positioned over the solenoid coil, wherein each of the plurality of magnets are positioned at a pre-defined orientation with respect to longitudinal axis of the pipeline. A processing unit is communicatively coupled to the solenoid coil. The processing unit generates a plurality of wave modes in the pipeline by supplying power to the solenoid coil in concurrence with the plurality of magnets and the ferromagnetic strip. The processing unit is configured to receive a plurality of wave signals reflected and are then compared with pre-defined wave signals by the processing unit to monitor flow of fluid through the pipeline.

    Abstract: Improved thin film coatings, cutting tool materials and processes for cutting tool applications are disclosed. A boron-doped graded diamond thin film for forming a highly adhesive surface coating on a cemented carbide (WC—Co) cutting tool material is provided. The thin film is fabricated in a HFCVD reactor. It is made of a bottom layer of BMCD in contact with a surface layer of the cemented carbide, a top layer made of NCD and a transition layer with a decreasing concentration gradient of boron obtained by changing the reaction conditions through ramp up option in hot filament CVD reactor. The top layer has a low friction coefficient. The bottom layer in the coating substrate interface has better interfacial adhesion through cobalt and boron reactivity and decreased cobalt diffusivity in the diamond. The transition layer has minimized lattice mismatch and sharp stress concentration between the top and bottom layers.

The device (100) comprises at least one transducer (106,110), a power supply unit (114), a logical gate (112), a processing unit (104), and, a tamper tag 102). The transducer (106,110) generates a trigger signal upon detection of a tamper event. The logical gate (112) is operable in an open state or a closed state. The processing unit (104) generates a tamper detection signal for changing the state of the logical gate (112) upon receiving the trigger signal or upon detecting loss of power supply from the power supply unit (114). The change in state of logical gate (112) causes a tamper flag value stored in the tamper tag (102) to change, thereby indicating a tampered status to a reader scanning the tamper tag (102). The device (100) detects a tamper event even if the device (100) is not damaged/broken during tampering.

An advanced application of searching keyword translations in mixlingual speech corpus is also possible within posteriorgram framework with this system. Also, a technique for combining information from text and audio keywords is given which further enhances the search performance. This system is based on multiple posteriorgrams based on articulatory classes trained with multiple languages.
