Abstract: A waste treatment furnace comprises a crucible equipped with heating means, a waste intake duct opening into the bottom of the crucible, a duct for removing matter from a bath opening into the crucible at a level above the level of the opening of the waste intake duct, the upper part of the furnace defining a chamber which communicates at the top with a duct for the effluent gases, an inlet ramp for a flushing gas opening into the combustion chamber.
