Patent number: 7681251Abstract: A hat member has a lower rim with a scarf attached thereto which extends between the temple areas around the back of the head. The scarf has an eye edge proximate the lower part of the eye sockets and extends from there to an area proximate the juncture of the neck with the torso or trunk. The scarf is loose and has folds under the chin so that a coat or other outer garment can be positioned and closed there over without restricting movement of the user. The scarf extends from the rim down proximate the nape of the neck to protect the back of the head and the rear of the neck. The hat member has a crown into which the scarf member can be positioned and stored while the hat is being worn. In turn the scarf may be moved between a stored position in the crown of the hat member and a deployed position removed from the crown and deployed over and about the head of the user.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2007Date of Patent: March 23, 2010Assignee: Seirus Innovative Accessories, Inc.Inventor: Michael J. Patent number: 7526876Abstract: A drying apparatus includes a housing, a tubular arm, a telescoping arm and a fan. The tubular arm is attached to the housing at a portion between proximal and distal ends. Also, the tubular arm is able to rotate tangential to the housing. The tubular arm includes a proximal end and a distal end and is attached to the housing at a portion between the proximal and distal ends. The telescoping arm is attached to the tubular arm and able to slide between an open and closed position. The telescoping arm includes an aperture that is open in the open position and covered in the closed position. The fan encased within the housing and arranged to direct airflow through the tubular arm and out the aperture when the telescoping arm is in the open position. The air flow is restricted when the telescoping arm is in the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2006Date of Patent: May 5, 2009Assignee: Seirus Innovative Accessories, Inc.Inventors: Michael J. Patent number: 7451496Abstract: A glove having a heat insulating barrier is disclosed. The heat insulating barrier is removably inserted into a zippered pocket or a weblike pouch, the pocket or pouch being positioned proximate the back of a user's hand. the heat insulating barrier acts to selectively reduce heat conduction from the back side of the hand, thereby allowing the user's hand or hands to remain warm in cold environments. The ability to stack a varying number of heat insulating layers in the pouch or pocket further allows the user to selectively control the warmth of the hand as the ambient temperature fluctuates during use. The zippered pocket or weblike pouch can have first and second opening to permit increased cooling through the back portion of the glove.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2006Date of Patent: November 18, 2008Assignee: Seirus Innovative Accessories, Inc.Inventors: Michael J. Carey, Joseph H. Edwards

Patent number: 5125518Abstract: An interlocking hanging system including a mounting bracket which may be secured to a supporting structure, a support panel which attaches to and hangs from the mounting bracket, and one or more article holders, such as hooks or trays, which attach to and hang from the support panel. The support panel attaches to the mounting bracket, as do the article holders to the support panel, by upwardly extending arcuate hooks which pivotally corkscrew into and mate with horizontal channel structures, each with an inwardly extending lip, on the mounting bracket and support panel, respectively. The mounting bracket, support panel, and article holders are horizontal extrusions, allowing the article holders and support panel to be adjustably positioned horizontally within the support panel and mounting bracket, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1991Date of Patent: June 30, 1992Assignee: Innovative AccessoriesInventor: William H. Patent number: 5094479Abstract: A compact device for carrying a pair of skis and ski poles including a substantially flat body member, a pair of ski pole carrying members pivotally mounted on the body member adjacent opposite ends thereof such that the carrying members can be selectively disposed in a flat horizontal position adjacent the body member or in an upright position substantially perpendicular to the body member. Each of the carrying members defines a pair of oppositely disposed open ended slots therein for releasably carrying a pair of ski poles upon the carrying members being disposed in an upright position. A ski securement strap is secured to and extends from one side of the body member and a strap locking member is pivotally mounted on the body member so as to be moveable between an unlocked and a locked position.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 1990Date of Patent: March 10, 1992Assignee: Sierus Innovative Accessories, Inc.Inventor: Michael P.
