  • Publication number: 20130065208
Abstract: In some embodiments, a non-transitory processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions to cause a processor to receive a first psychological profile identifying one or more psychological facets associated with a candidate for a role and a set of second psychological profiles identifying one or more psychological facets associated with the role. Each second psychological profile is associated with an assessment of the role by an evaluator from a set of evaluators. The code represents instructions to cause the processor to receive a set of post-interview assessments, each of which is from an interviewer from a set of interviewers and includes a degree of confidence that the candidate possesses the one or more psychological facets associated with the candidate. The code further represents instructions to cause the processor to compute an indicator associated with the first psychological profile, the set of second psychological profiles and the set of post-interview assessments.

  • Publication number: 20130013506
Abstract: Systems and methods provide variable service fees for protection against overdraft of resources. The resources can be monetary or non-monetary and generally are associated with a service. Protection against overdraft relies at least on authorization of a request for an OD transaction, the request having one or more data indicative of a service transaction that triggers an overdraft condition leading to such request. Authorization or denial of such request is based on one or more rules applicable to the one or more data. For an authorized OD transaction, and based on at least one rule of the one or more rules, a variable service fee is assessed to an overdraft account linked to the overdraft transaction. Assessment of such fee affords protection against overdraft, which allows utilization of resources even in scenarios a resource allocation is exhausted.

  • Publication number: 20120130410
Abstract: An apparatus for performing a vascular treatment includes an intraluminal member that is controllingly moved during the vascular treatment. The intraluminal member of the vascular treatment device can be connected to a motor. The rotation direction of the intraluminal member can be reversed to reduce the incidence and duration of vein entanglement during a vascular ablation procedure. Reversal of direction could occur automatically, or in response to a sensor such as a load sensor provided as part of the motorized drive system.

  • Patent number: 7979323
Abstract: The present disclosure includes a method for providing pricing information. In some implementations, a method for providing pricing information includes receiving, from a first subscriber, a request for pricing information of one or more retailers. The request is associated with a unit provided by a retailer different from the one or more retailers. Pricing information associated with the unit is identified based on mapping information. The pricing information is provided by the one or more retailers. The mapping information maps the unit to one or more units sold by the one or more retailers.

  • Patent number: 7967834
Abstract: A vascular treatment device may include (1) a handle having a motor, a trigger, and a male coupling, and (2) a cartridge, engageable to the handle, having a female coupling, a wire, and a sheath fixed to the cartridge. When the female coupling is not engaged to the male coupling, the sheath may cover the distal end of the wire, allowing safe advancement of the device into the patient's vasculature, and when the female coupling is engaged by the male coupling, the distal end of the wire may be exposed from the sheath and used.

  • Publication number: 20060247070
Abstract: A method and device is used to teach and simulate swing mechanics. A camera is coupled to a computer such that frames including an image of a golfer swinging a golf club may be captured. A key part of the image is identified by the computer in sequential frames captured from the camera, and the image is compared to swing mechanics of a known standard golfer. The position of the known standard golfer is capable of following the natural swing of a student golfer, and the method and device are capable of providing real-time feedback to the student golfer during the golfer's swing. An instant replay may be used to reinforce good swing mechanics. A marker attachment may be used to assist in tracking and analyzing the swing mechanics of the images.
