Abstract: A first request for a web program is received. A profiling version of the web program is provided in response to the first request for the web program. The profiling version of the web program identifies each unique function of the web program using a corresponding unique replacement identifier. The web program is analyzed to identify a portion of the web program to be replaced with a reference that corresponds to a location where the identified portion can be obtained. A reduced version of the web program without the identified portion is generated by replacing the identified portion with at least the reference. A second request for a web program is received. The reduced version of the web program is provided in response to the second request for the web program.

Abstract: Computer log entries are processed to determine a plurality of baseline rank values associated with a ranking dimension. An overall baseline rank indicator is computed using the determined baseline rank values. For each log data component value combination included in a group of log data component value combinations, a comparison rank value associated with the ranking dimension is determined. Each of the comparison rank values is compared with the overall baseline rank indicator. Based at least in part on the comparisons, one or more log data component value combinations included in the group of log data component value combinations are identified as more anomalous than other log data component value combinations included in the group of log data component value combinations.

Abstract: A resource identifier to be encoded dynamically upon detection of a triggering event is identified. The resource identifier is allowed to remain not encoded prior to detection of the triggering event. The triggering event that will cause the resource identifier to be consumed by a web browser is detected. In response to detecting the triggering event, the resource identifier is encoded, and an encoded version of the resource identifier is provided for consumption by the web browser.

Abstract: A method of selecting an edge proxy server to serve web contents to user devices is disclosed. Domain name system (DNS) queries from a domain name resolver are received. A mapping between the domain name resolver and a corresponding list of user devices served by the domain name resolver are created based on the received DNS queries. A transformed geographical location representing the domain name resolver is determined based on the mapping. An edge proxy server is selected in response to a future DNS query received from the domain name resolver based at least in part on the transformed geographical location of the domain name resolver.

Abstract: A method of speeding up the delivery of a dynamic webpage is disclosed. A plurality of responses to a plurality of requests for a webpage is received, the webpage including dynamic components. The plurality of responses is compared to identify common and dynamic components across the plurality of requests. A cached stub is dynamically adapted based on the comparison within a learning window, the cached stub including the identified common components and placeholders for portions of the identified dynamic components. The dynamically adapted cached stub is sent in response to at least some of the plurality of requests for the webpage. A frequency of reloading of the webpage is monitored, wherein a reloading of the webpage is triggered by a detection of the dynamically adapted cached stub having one of a plurality of types of error. The learning window is adjusted based on a frequency of reloading of the webpage.

Abstract: A method of speeding up the delivery of a dynamic webpage is disclosed. A request for a webpage is received, the webpage including one or more dynamic components. A cached stub is sent in response to the request, wherein the cached stub includes components empirically determined as static components of the webpage, and wherein the cached stub includes a placeholder replacing at least a portion of a first dynamic component of the webpage. A script is injected in the cached stub that intercepts any access to the placeholder.

Abstract: A method of delivering dynamic web content by a proxy server is disclosed. A plurality of responses to requests for dynamic web content at a URL (uniform resource locator) is prefetched by a proxy server from an origin server. The plurality of prefetched responses is cached by the proxy server in a one-time cache, wherein each prefetched response cached in the one-time cache is served at most once and then removed from the one-time cache. A request from a client device for the dynamic web content at the URL is received by the proxy server. One of the plurality of prefetched responses cached in the one-time cache is served by the proxy server to the client device, wherein the one of the plurality of prefetched responses is removed from the one-time cache after the one of the plurality of prefetched responses has been served.

Abstract: A system for processing a purge request is disclosed. The purge request is received. An availability state for each content distribution node in a group of content distribution nodes is stored. Based on the purge request, one or more purge instructions are generated for one or more available state content distribution nodes of the group. Based on the purge request, one or more delayed purge instructions are queued for one or more unavailable state content distribution nodes of the group. It is determined that the one or more available state content distribution nodes of the group have completed processing the one or more purge instructions generated for the one or more available state content distribution nodes. Based at least in part on the queuing of the one or more delayed purge instructions for the one or more unavailable state nodes, it is confirmed that the purge request has been completed.

Abstract: A plurality of sets of information is received, wherein each set of information indicates dependent resources of a corresponding referred web content, wherein each set of information is collected in response to the corresponding referred web content having been loaded on one of one or more client devices. The received sets of information associated with the corresponding referred web content are used to update a list of candidate prefetchable resources for a referring web content that refers to the corresponding referred web content. A request requesting for a list of prefetchable resources is received from a requestor, wherein the request is associated with loading the referring web content on the requestor's client device. One or more resources from the list of candidate prefetchable resources are selected as prefetchable resources based on one or more criteria. One or more identifiers identifying the one or more selected resources are sent.

Abstract: A method of delivering webpages to a browser includes delivering a first webpage using a streaming protocol that optimizes delivery of content of the first webpage where the first webpage includes information that may persist in a browser cache; delivering a second webpage without using the streaming protocol where the second webpage and the first webpage both reference a first resource; and forcing revalidation of the first resource stored on the browser cache.

Abstract: A method of determining one or more sources for delivery of content corresponding to a website is disclosed. Content from a plurality of initial sources is received through an interface. The content comprises content of a plurality of webpages of a website. Performance of the plurality of initial sources in delivering the content is evaluated. At least some of the content is copied to an alternative source. The content from the alternative source is received through the interface. Performance of the alternative source in delivering the content is evaluated. A determination of whether the alternative source should replace at least some of the plurality of initial sources as a source for delivering content of the website is made. The determination is based at least in part on the evaluated performances.

Abstract: Switching a content location address is disclosed. A mapping data is received from a server indicating one or more translated location addresses that correspond to one or more content requests. At a client device, a request is generated that specifies an initial content location address. The initial content location address is translated to a different content location address using the received mapping data.

Abstract: Responding to a request for network content is disclosed. The request for network content is received. A determination of whether delivery of the content can be improved by a prioritized content delivery system is determined. The determination is determined using application level data associated with the request. The request for network content is routed to the prioritized content delivery system or a normal content delivery system based at least in part on the determination.

Abstract: Expediting content delivery is disclosed. A request for content is received from a requestor. A cached component of the requested content that includes at least some cached executable content is identified. The cached component of the requested content is provided to the requestor for provisional execution. It is determined whether a change, if any, in the requested content may invalidate the provisional execution.

Abstract: A content tag is translated. Dynamic content that includes one or more identification tags identifying one or more cacheable portions of the dynamic content is received. The one or more identification tags within the received dynamic content are translated to generate a conventional version of the received dynamic content. The generated conventional version of the received dynamic content are provided.

Abstract: A method of delivering web distributed content is disclosed. A set of web distributed content is received by a proxy server. The set of web distributed content is divided by the proxy server into a plurality of portions. Additional security code is added to the plurality of portions to form a modified set of web distributed content. The additional security code detects unauthorized modification of the modified set of web distributed content, wherein at least a portion of the modified set of web distributed content is different for different intended users of the set of web distributed content. The modified set of web distributed content is delivered by the proxy server to an intended user.

Abstract: A method of delivering an image is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request for an image. A variation of quality signature (VoQS) of the image is determined. A VoQS of a particular image is determined based on a plurality of different levels of distortion applied to the particular image. The image is categorized into one of a plurality of clusters of images, wherein the categorization is based on a similarity between the VoQS of the image and one or more other VoQSs of one or more other images within the plurality of clusters of images. A distorted version of the image based on the categorization is delivered.

Abstract: A request for an image is received. A reduced version of the image is generated. A plurality of reduced distorted images is generated, wherein each reduced distorted image is a reduced version of a different distortion applied to the image. A variation of quality signature of the image is determined, wherein the variation of quality signature of the image comprises a plurality of element signatures, and wherein the plurality of element signatures are determined based on the plurality of reduced distorted images. The image is categorized into one of a plurality of clusters of images, wherein the categorization is based on a similarity between the variation of quality signature of the image and one or more other variation of quality signatures of one or more other images within the plurality of clusters of images. A distorted version of the image based on the categorization is delivered.

Abstract: Preloading a cache is disclosed. A requested web content is received. A priority order associated with one or more resources of the requested web content is determined. The cache of an application is preloaded with one or more resources of the requested web content in a loading order based at least in part on the determined priority order.

Abstract: A method of speeding up the delivery of a dynamic webpage is disclosed. A request for a webpage is received, the webpage including one or more dynamic components. A cached stub is sent in response to the request, the cached stub including common components of the webpage that were empirically determined to be common components across multiple requests for the webpage. The request for the webpage is forwarded to an origin server. The webpage is received from the origin server. A difference between the cached stub and the webpage received from the origin server is determined. An instruction to correct the difference between the cached stub and the webpage received from the origin server is sent.
