  • Patent number: 6366536
Abstract: The invention relates to a seismic acquisition device in a marine environment. The device comprises a Janus Helmholtz (12) transducer which is able to operate at a large depth of immersion and to sound waves in a wide frequency band, a calculator (13) to program at will the frequency band and the form of the sound waves emitted by the transducer, a power amplifier (14) that can control the transducer in order to provide the emitted sound waves with predetermined power levels, an impedance adapter (16) placed between the transducer (12) and the amplifier to enable wide band and power adaptation, and a receiver (18) to capture the seismic waves reflected by the different layers of the sea bed.

  • Patent number: 6028191
Abstract: A method for obtaining sulphated polysaccharides using the free radical depolymerization of a fucan from Phaeophyceae in the presence of a metal catalyst and of hydrogen peroxide is described. The method of the invention provides polysaccharide fractions with a molecular weight of 10,000 g/mol or less, with anticoagulant properties.

  • Patent number: 5321133
Abstract: The invention relates to sulphated polysaccharides obtained from fucuses extracted from pheophyceae. The molecular weight of these polysaccharides is greater than 5 and less than 40 Kda; their sulphur content is greater than that of the original fucus and they contain less than 0.15% of contaminant proteins. Applications as anticoagulant and anticomplementary agents.

  • Patent number: 4640227
Abstract: The invention relates to processes for intensive shrimp breeding, in tanks here a small proportion of the water is renewed, with a view to obtaining the growth of post-larvae more than 12-days old. Before placing the post-larvae in the tank, the water is prepared by filling up the tank progressively and adding daily to that water an artificial food containing nitrobenous organic products until flocs, formed of heterotroph and nitrifying bacteria and phytoplanktons, are obtined, serving as a complement of food to the shrimps which are fed with artificial food.
