Patents Assigned to Institut fur Diagnostikforschung GmbH
  • Patent number: 6048515
Abstract: Modular iron-containing nanoparticles are disclosed, as well as their production and use in diagnosis and therapy. The nanoparticles are characterised in that they have an iron-containing core, a primary coat (synthetic polymer) and a secondary coat (target polymer), and optional auxiliary pharmaceutical substances, pharmaceuticals and/or adsorption mediators.

  • Patent number: 5961954
Abstract: This invention relates to new bifunctional chelating agents with intermittent chalcogen atoms, pharmaceuticals containing these compounds, their use in radiodiagnostics and radiotherapy, and methods for the production of these compounds. The compound according to the invention has the general formula (I)M--Lwhere M represents a radionuclide and L a ligand of the general formula (II).It was found, surprisingly, that these new, bifunctional chelating agents with intermittent chalcogen atoms and their coupling products with compounds that accumulate specifically are excellently suited for producing radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

  • Patent number: 5427767
Abstract: The invention relates to nanocrystalline magnetic particles consisting of gnetic iron oxide core of Fe.sub.3 O.sub.4, gamma-Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 or mixtures thereof and an envelope chemisorbed to said core, the method for preparation of these particles as well as the use thereof in medical diagnostics and/or therapy. The magnetic particles, according to the invention, are characterized by composition of the coating material of natural or synthetic glycosaminoglycans and/or their derivatives with molecular weights of 500 Da to 250,000 Da, if necessary, covalently cross-linked with appropriate cross-linking agents and/or modified by specific additives.

  • Patent number: 5302370
Abstract: The invention relates to compounds having the general formula I ##STR1## where A if required can contain a functional and/or activated group C for coupling to selectively concentrating compounds or can contain a selectively concentrating compound coupled via the group C. B and B' are functional groups for coordinate bonding of groups carrying metal ions. The novel compounds are for forming complexes with radioactive metal ions, more particularly rhenium and technetium isotopes, and are used in medical diagnosis and therapy.
