The static converter includes a pair of fuses connected on either side of the main arm, and a switching circuit comprising a connection element connecting the backup arm to the connection points between the fuses and the input terminals of the main arm, such that, when a fault occurs on one of the switching cells forming the main arm, a stable conductive link is established between the two fuses, the main arm is isolated by the two fuses, and the backup arm is spontaneously connected to the output of the main arm via the conductive line and replaces the main arm.

    Abstract: A method for producing a thermal barrier in a multilayered system for protecting a metal part made of superalloy, by producing a thermal treatment by flash sintering protection materials in layers superposed on the metal part in an SPS machine enclosure. The layers contain, on a superalloy substrate, at least two layers of zirconium-based refractory ceramics. A metal part is produced according to a SPS flash sintering method and contains a superalloy substrate, a metal sub-layer, a TGO oxide layer and the thermal barrier formed by the method. A first ceramic is an inner ceramic designed to have a substantially higher expansion coefficient. An outer ceramic is designed to have at least lower thermal conductivity, and at least one of a sintering temperature or maximum operating temperature that is substantially higher. The thermal barrier has a composition and porosity gradient from the metal sub-layer to the outer ceramic.

    Abstract: A method for depositing a hard metallic chrome coating or similar metal by chemical vapor deposition on a metallic substrate, includes: a) preparing a solution containing, in an oxygen-free solvent, i) a molecular compound of the bis(arene) family that's a precursor of the deposited metal with a decomposition temperature 300° C.-550° C., and ii) a chlorinated additive; b) introducing the solution as aerosol into a heated evaporator at a temperature between the solvent boiling temperature and the precursor decomposition temperature (PDT); and c) driving the vaporized aerosol from the evaporator towards a CVD reactor including a susceptor carrying the substrate, heated above the PDT, up to 550° C., the evaporator and CVD reactor being subjected to atmospheric pressure. This DLI-CVD method performed at low temperature and atmospheric pressure enables continuous industrial treatment of large metallic plates, producing hard, monolayer or nanostructured multilayer metallic coatings.
