  • Patent number: 9236943
Abstract: There is provided a method of eliminating an offset in a spot centroid due to crosstalk. A crosstalk matrix is used to characterize crosstalk characteristics of a multi-pixel spot-centroid detector. Left-multiplication of signals outputted from the multi-pixel spot-centroid detector, which are affected by the crosstalk, by an inverse matrix of the crosstalk matrix can result in a light-intensity-distribution signal with impacts of the crosstalk substantially removed. Based on this light-intensity-distribution signal, it is possible to derive the spot centroid, with the offset in the spot centroid due to the crosstalk substantially eliminated, resulting in an improved accuracy of the spot centroid detection, as compared with conventional methods.

  • Patent number: 9237014
Abstract: A re-encryptor compares hashed digests of updated segments and original segments to located changed segments that must be re-encrypted. A new initialization vector is input to a block cipher engine for each changed segment. Since only changed segments need to be re-encrypted, transmission bandwidth to remote encrypted storage may be reduced. The amount of cipher text that is changed by a single update is reduced to a segment. Segments have a variable length and are bound by bits matching a segment delimiter. Each segment may have many fixed-length blocks that are encrypted by the block cipher engine with the same initialization vector for that segment. The segment delimiter is a randomly-generated word that is included with the initialization vectors in the metadata. Variable-length segments limit update disruption of the cipher text while fixed-length blocks are more efficiently encrypted. Combining segments and blocks provides for better re-encryption of updates.

  • Publication number: 20160005609
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a graphene modulated high-k oxide and metal gate Ge-based MOS device, which comprises the following steps: 1) introducing a graphene thin film on a Ge-based substrate; 2) conducting fluorination treatment to the graphene thin film to form fluorinated graphene; 3) activating the surface of the fluorinated graphene by adopting ozone plasmas, and then forming a high-k gate dielectric on the surface of the fluorinated graphene through an atomic layer deposition technology; and 4) forming a metal electrode on the surface of the high-k gate dielectric. Since the present invention utilizes the graphene as a passivation layer to inhibit the formation of unstable oxide GeOx on the surface of the Ge-based substrate and to stop mutual diffusion between the gate dielectric and the Ge-based substrate, the interface property between Ge and the high-k gate dielectric layer is improved.
