Abstract: A system for introspection and annotation of electronic design data includes a tracked probe that interacts with an electronic circuit, a tracking system, schematics, design files, or models for the circuit, electronic design system software, and a user interface. The probe has a sensor that tracks the position of the probe within the circuit. The tracking system receives data from the sensor and translates it into coordinates reflecting the location of the probe within the circuit. The software uses the probe coordinates to locate the position of the probe on the circuit schematic, identify the circuit component at the probe location, and display information about the identified component. The displayed information preferably includes an annotated version of the circuit schematic. The system may include a measurement or instrumentation device, the probe may include at least one parameter measurement device, and the display may include information derived from the parameter measurements.

  • Publication number: 20150210286
Abstract: A time-series waveform of tire vibration detected by an acceleration sensor is windowed by a windowing means, time-series waveforms of the tire vibration are extracted for respective time windows, and feature vectors of the respective time windows are calculated. Then kernel functions are calculated from the feature vectors of the respective time windows and road surface feature vectors, which are the feature vectors for the respective time windows calculated from the time-series waveform of the tire vibration obtained for distinctive road surface conditions calculated in advance. And the road surface condition is determined by comparing values of discriminant functions using the kernel functions. As a result, the road surface condition can be determined from the time-series waveform of the tire vibration without detecting peak positions or measuring the wheel speed. Moreover, robustness against changes in tire size can be added to the determination of the road surface condition.

Abstract: An apparatus provides targeted placement of openings for infusing fluids into a body. The apparatus provides a driving force to a penetrating medical device, such as a needle, when the apparatus tip encounters material of high resistance. When the apparatus tip encounters a low resistance material, no further driving force is applied to the apparatus due to contraction of an element made of interlaced flexible elements. A multi-opening needle is provided in some embodiments wherein placement of one of the openings in a target region with a relatively lower external pressure allows pressurized fluid to exit the needle while openings remaining in higher pressure, non-target regions do not release substantial amounts of the fluid.
