  • Patent number: 9094106
Abstract: A precoding method and apparatus are provided. Each transmission node receives feedback on first information as information regarding a transmission node that transmits an interference signal causing an interference-to-noise ratio (INR) greater than a first reference value from reception nodes, determines a group to which each transmission node belongs on the basis of the first feedback information, and allocates resources to each group. In a detailed manner, each transmission node determines comparison values of INRs, as two or more values, determines a group by using feedback information corresponding thereto, and allocates resources. Each transmission node receives feedback on channel information or precoder information from reception nodes of each group to which each transmission node belongs, and determines a precoder by using the feedback channel information or precoder information.

  • Patent number: 9091183
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein that generally involve a double pinch criterion for optimization of regenerative Rankine cycles. In some embodiments, operating variables such as bleed extraction pressure and bleed flow rate are selected such that a double pinch is obtained in a feedwater heater, thereby improving the efficiency of the Rankine cycle. In particular, a first pinch point is obtained at the onset of condensation of the bleed and a second pinch point is obtained at the exit of the bleed from the feedwater heater. The minimal approach temperature at the first pinch point can be approximately equal to the minimal approach temperature at the second pinch point. Systems that employ regenerative Rankine cycles, methods of operating such systems, and methods of optimizing the operation of such systems are disclosed herein in connection with the double pinch criterion.

  • Patent number: 9092734
Abstract: This disclosure provides a computer-program product, system, method and apparatus for accessing a representation of a category or item and accessing a set of multiple transactions. The transactions are processed to identify items found amongst the transactions, and the items are ordered based on an information-gain heuristic. A depth-first search for a group of best association rules is then conducted using a best-first heuristic and constraints that make the search efficient. The best rules found during the search can then be displayed to a user, along with accompanying statistics. The user can then select rules that appear to be most relevant, and further analytics can be applied to the selected rules to obtain further information about the information provided by these rules.
