Abstract: A simulated sunlight generating device for generating a simulated sunlight required for evaluating performance of solar cells includes a plurality of driving units, a plurality of light-emitting units, and a plurality of adjusting units. The driving units drive the light-emitting units to emit light. The adjusting units enable the light of the light-emitting units to not only propagate along the same light route but also be added up and combined to form the simulated sunlight of an intended wavelength with ease of installation, ease of maintenance, low costs, high flexibility, and high efficiency.

Abstract: Disclosed is a high resolution time-of-flight distance measurement device based on a femtosecond laser, including a femtosecond laser light source, a polarization beam splitter, a balanced optical cross-correlator in which second harmonic pulses are generated using reference light and measurement light, wherein the second harmonic pulse that was primarily generated is incident on a first photodetector and the second harmonic pulse that was secondarily generated is incident on a second photodetector, so that a difference in intensity of the second harmonic pulses is output, thus resolving the time interval of the pulse laser, a controller for controlling the repetition rate of the femtosecond laser, and a converter for measuring the repetition rate of the femtosecond laser controlled so that the pulses uniformly overlap by means of the controller, using a frequency counter traceable to a time/frequency standard, so that a measured value is converted into distance information.

Abstract: A stereo x-ray inspection apparatus and a method for forming a three-dimensional image through volume reconstruction of an image acquired from the same are disclosed. The apparatus includes one x-ray generator and two detectors to acquire two images. The x-ray generator and detectors are arranged in the form of a right-angled triangle, to easily achieve mathematical development and analysis. One of the detectors, which does not just oppose the x-ray generator, is movable and rotatable, to acquire images under the condition that only one detector is moved in accordance with the size of an object, and thus to simplify control operation for the apparatus, so that a more accurate image from an object moving at high speed is acquired.

Abstract: Provided are a sensing device and a biosensor that are capable of achieving stable performance in sensing saccharides or hydroxyl group-containing polymers, and that can be stored for a long time. The biosensor 8 of the present invention uses, as a component for sensing glucose, a sensing device 16 in which a completely synthetic phenylboronic acid compound 21 is bound without using enzymes that have been conventionally used. Consequently, the biosensor 8 can eliminate the problem of protein denaturation to achieve stable performance in sensing glucose, and it is possible to achieve the biosensor 8 can be stored for a long time.

Abstract: A photovoltaic cell is provided. The photovoltaic cell includes a concentrator optic structure separating the solar spectrum of light into a plurality of spectral bands. The concentrator optic structure focuses these spectral bands into a plurality of concentric tightly focused ring-shaped spots and a central round spot. A multitude of circular sub-cells are each approximately positioned at a ring-shaped spot associated with a respective spectral band produced by the concentrator optic structure.
Abstract: An image-based vehicle maneuvering assistant method and system are provided in the present invention, in which images captured by a single image sensing device is processed to determine the changes with respect time by a controller having capability of image processing and identification and distance estimation in image space for providing a complete assisting image-information while the carrier is maneuvering. By means of the presented method of the presented invention, the system is capable of generating track of the carrier, view point transformation, and identifying the characteristic object in the image so as to performing the distance estimation. The present invention may be utilized and applied in different kinds of carrier type to solve the problem of guiding of carrier maneuvering, and assist the carrier lane changing, parking assistance and blind spot detection.

Abstract: Methods for processing messages in a wireless communication system including a femto network (FN) including at least one Home NodeB, a core network (CN), a macro network (MN) including a serving base station and a gateway located between the FN and the CN is provided. Abstract: A method for forming a ferroelectric spontaneous polarization reversal in a desired region of a ferroelectric substrate includes the steps of forming, for the desired region of the surface of the ferroelectric substrate, an electrode pattern or a mask pattern composed of aggregates of micropatterns, and then applying a given voltage into the desired region. The configuration of the micropatterns can be a stripe-shaped pattern, an ellipse-shaped pattern, a hexagon-shaped pattern, a network pattern, or a double cross shaped pattern. The method can further include the steps of generating many nucleuses by using the electrode pattern or the mask pattern composed of the aggregates of micropatterns, forming another electrode pattern or another mask pattern corresponding to the desired region, and then applying a given voltage into the desired region to generate a ferroelectric spontaneous polarization reversal around the nucleuses.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and compositions for high throughput screening of genetically modified photosynthetic organisms for plasmic state. The present invention provides methods of producing one or more proteins, including biomass degrading enzymes in a plant. Also provided are the methods of producing biomass degradation pathways in alga cells, particularly in the chloroplast. Single enzymes or multiple enzymes may be produced by the methods disclosed. The methods disclosed herein allow for the production of biofuel, including ethanol.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for processing a sulfur-containing gas and a hydrogenation catalyst used therefor. The method comprises introducing the sulfur-containing gas into the tail gas hydrogenation unit of a sulfur recovery device, processing it with the hydrogenation catalyst of the present invention, and absorbing the hydrogenated tail gas with a solvent. The hydrogenation catalyst comprises from 0.5 to 3 wt. % of an active component nickel oxide, from 1 to 4 wt. % of an active component cobalt oxide, from 8 to 20 wt. % of an active component molybdenum oxide or tungsten oxide, from 1 to 5 wt. % of a deoxidation auxiliary agent, from 10 to 40 wt. % of TiO2, the balance being ?-Al2O3, based on the weight of the catalyst.
