Abstract: High-density microfluidic chips contain plumbing networks with thousands of micromechanical valves and hundreds of individually addressable chambers. These fluidic devices are analogous to electronic integrated circuits fabricated using large scale integration (LSI). A component of these networks is the fluidic multiplexor, which is a combinatorial array of binary valve patterns that exponentially increases the processing power of a network by allowing complex fluid manipulations with a minimal number of inputs. These integrated microfluidic networks can be used to construct a variety of highly complex microfluidic devices, for example the microfluidic analog of a comparator array, and a microfluidic memory storage device resembling electronic random access memories.

Abstract: Disclosed are a type of catalyst which can catalyse the ring-addition reaction of CO2 and an alkylene oxide at 0˜180° C. under 0.1˜8.0 MPa to produce a corresponding cyclic carbonate, and the preparation thereof. The catalyst is a conjugated microporous macromolecule polymer complexed with cobalt, chromium, zinc, copper or aluminium, and by using the macromolecule catalysts complexed with different metals to catalyse the reaction of CO2 and alkylene oxide at normal temperature and normal pressure, a yield of the corresponding cyclic carbonate of 35%˜90% can be obtained. The catalyst is easy to recover and the re-use of the catalyst has no influence on the yield; additionally, the yield can reach over 90% by controlling the reaction conditions.

Abstract: The invention addresses the problem of prior methods, which formed a binder layer on a graphene film, that the shape of the substrate surface was transferred to the graphene layer. The purpose is to provide a technique for forming less cloudy, highly transparent conductive film laminates. The invention solves the problem, in methods that manufacture transparent conductive carbon films by forming a transparent conductive carbon film on a film forming substrate using the CVD method and then removing said film forming substrate from said transparent conductive carbon film, by preparing a film having an adhesive surface and providing a process of gluing the adhesive surface of said film to a portion and/or all of the surface of the transparent conductive carbon film prior to removal of the film forming substrate.

Abstract: The compositions and methods of the present invention relate to the co-delivery of a molecule and a polypeptide to cells to improve the therapeutic efficacy of the molecules. In one embodiment of the invention, the invention may improve delivery of growth factors by co-delivering these growth factors with their receptors and co-receptors, such as syndecans. Co-delivery of growth factors with syndecans, for example, may protect growth factors from proteolysis, enhance their activity, and target the growth factors to the cell surface to facilitate growth factor signaling. This novel approach to growth factor therapy could be extended to other systems and growth factors enabling the enhancement of multiple signaling pathways to achieve a desired therapeutic outcome.
