    Abstract: A management method for a cutting tool of a machine tool is provided. A user host imports a graphical data of a workpiece and a cutting tool database into CAM, and a user may select cutting tools to establish a complete machining process. T codes are replaced with electronic tags. Before executing a machine code comprising the electronic tags, the machine tool re-scans the cutting tools assembled at a tool turret and updates cutting tool arrangement information to ensure that the tool turret is equipped with the cutting tools used in the machining process. When the machine tool stores the electronic tags, a ready message is displayed for reminding an operator. When the electronic tags are not stored, the current storage location of a cutting tool lacked in the machining process or a warning message is displayed at the operation interface for reminding the operator.

The clock signal generator controls a transmission-to-reception clock delay, and generates a synchronization signal. The signal processor converts the digital signal into a representative value and analyzes the second signal using the representative value. The representative value is one of an accumulated sum of the digital signal in a time duration between synchronization signals and an average value of the digital signal in the time duration between synchronization signals.

When a material with high-temperature resistance such as SiC is used in the outermost layer of the distributed reflector layer, the multi-layered radiation light source can operate at high temperatures of 550° C. and higher.

    Abstract: Functionalized membranes are produced via grafting of polymer brushes to the membrane surface for use, e.g., in separation and purification of biomolecules. One or more initiators are attached to the membrane surface. A reactant substrate, such as a copper metal plate, is placed adjacent the membrane. A reaction medium is then provided in fluid contact with the membrane and the reactant substrate, the reaction medium including one or more monomers, one or more ligands, and one or more solvents. The polymer brushes are grown on the membrane via Cu(0)-mediated controlled radical polymerization involving the reactant substrate and the reaction medium. This reaction process uses fewer numbers and amounts of chemicals compared to other controlled radical polymerization reactions such as ATRP. The reaction can take place at room temperature, which is more energy efficient than other CRPs which occur at a much higher temperatures.
