A central controller is configured to, in response to a request from a host, generate a first signal for requesting error information related to an error from a design of an IP. A local controller is configured to generate a second signal including the error information of the target IP if the request from the host is determined to be for the target IP based on the first signal.

Abstract: Since the fat content of pork is a deciding factor in grading the quality of meat, the use of a noninvasive subcutaneous probe for real-time, in situ monitoring of the fat components is of importance to vendors and other interested parties. Fortunately, in situ, in vivo monitoring of subcutaneous fat can be accomplished with spatially offset Raman spectroscopy (SORS) using a fiber-optic probe. The probe acquires Raman spectra as a function of spatial offset. These spectra are used to determine the relative composition of fat-to-skin. The Raman intensity ratio varies disproportionately depending on the fat content, with variations in slope that are correlated to the thickness of the fat layer. Ordinary least square (OLS) regression using two components indicates that depth-resolved SORS spectra reflect the relative thickness of the fat layer.

The waveguide signal feeding element passes through one substrate and one conductive layer between the substrates, and the waveguide signal feeding element extends to the waveguide transmitting region. The waveguide signal feeding element is electrically insulated from one conductive layer.

Abstract: A process of producing a distillate fuel from coal includes: preparing a biomass-derived coal solvent; dissolving the coal in the biomass-derived solvent; and separating undissolved coal and mineral matter to produce a syncrude. In certain embodiments, the process further includes subjecting the syncrude to a hydrotreatment/hydrogenation process to produce a distillate fuel. In certain embodiments, the biomass-derived solvent is a hydrogen-donor solvent. A method to improve direct coal liquefaction includes: using a non-hydrogenated lipid in a direct coal liquefaction process to facilitate coal depolymerization. In certain embodiments, the lipid is a polyunsaturated biobased oil. A method for using a biomass-derived feedstock as a hydrogen donor includes: providing a biomass-derived feedstock; modifying the feedstock to improve its usefulness as a hydrogen donor; and conducting a transfer hydrogenation process using the modified feedstock as a hydrogen donor.

Abstract: A system and method for efficiently transmitting and receiving focused ultrasound through a medium, such as bone, is provided. The focal region of the focused ultrasound is iteratively updated to provide an improved focus through the medium. This method may be carried out using a transducer assembly that includes two or more transmit arrays each operating at a different frequency. An initial focus is set and updated by delivering focused ultrasound with a lower frequency transmit array. The phase corrections determined in the first iteration are applied to subsequently higher frequency transmit arrays and received signals, and the process repeated until a desired focus or image resolution is achieved.

The amino acid sequence of the marker peptide of snake venom thrombin-like enzymes (SVTLEs) from Agkistrodon Halys Pallas is TLCAGVMEGGIDTCNR. Characterizing the source of species and a content of the SVTLEs in a to-be-detected sample by using the marker peptide includes the following steps of: pretreating the to-be-detected sample by trypsin through enzymolysis, and taking a supernatant of an enzymolysis liquid as a test solution; and injecting the test solution and a reference solution into a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer, and selecting a qualitative ion pair and a quantitative ion pair for detecting the source of species and a content of the SVTLEs in the to-be-detected sample.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method for preparing a ceramic material including a compound of a formula of A2BxOy and a ceramic material prepared by the method. The method includes: mixing a first oxide of AOm and a second oxide of BOn to obtain a mixture, ball-milling the mixture until a particle size of the mixture is not greater than 1 ?m with a medium selected from a group consisting of ethanol, acetone, deionized water and a combination thereof, to obtain a powder, drying the powder at a temperature in a range of 60 to 80° C., and sintering the powder with a laser irradiation having a laser wavelength of 980 nm, an irradiation power ranging from 50 to 1500 W and an irradiation period of 3 s to 8 min to obtain the ceramic material.
