Abstract: A single player vertical roulette mechanism is directed that includes a stand, a wheel, a rotating rim and two drive mechanisms. The wheel is configured to be mounted to the stand and rotate relative to the stand. The wheel includes a plurality of numbers corresponding to a roulette wheel. One drive mechanism is affixed to the stand and configured to rotate the wheel. A second drive mechanism is affixed to the stand and configured to rotate the rotating rim. A roulette ball is fixedly mounted to the rotating rim. A plurality of lights are fixedly mounted to the stand between the stand and the wheel. A light illuminates the ball. The plurality of lights illuminate the wheel so the numbers are visible to a player of the vertical roulette mechanism. The stand is further connected to a seat for a single player such that the roulette mechanism can be substituted for a traditional slot machine cabinet.

Abstract: A rotating wheel system includes face segments separated by posts positioned around a perimeter and a flexible pointer that interacts with the pegs as the wheel rotates. The system controls rotation of the wheel, randomly selects a segment at which to stop prior to the wheel being rotated based on a randomly selected friction deceleration and a randomly selected damping time constant, and controls rotation of the wheel to make it appear as though the wheel randomly stopped at the preselected segment. The system includes one or more player stations that are notified of the selected segment after the wheel is stopped. The system includes a second bonus wheel that is triggered when the selected segment is a trigger segment. The bonus wheel can be a physical wheel that is part of the wheel, a display that is part of the wheel, or displayed on a player station.

Abstract: A roulette system provides an enhanced gaming experience with: a) a wheel assembly of a bowl accommodating a roulette ball and an inner diameter of the wheel assembly; b) raised deflection elements are disposed within an annular lower track; and c) at least 37 randomly numbered receptors are on the wheel. Attached to the wheel assembly above the upper track is a panel of multicolor light elements with a direction of light emission of individual light emitting elements in the light panel oriented to direct emitted light towards the receptors, the panel circumscribing the bowl and providing at least two different color light elements. At least some of the multicolor light emitting elements varying individual light intensity of individual ones of the multicolor light emitting elements to variably color the wheel assembly. An audio system also replicates gaming sounds of roulette.

Abstract: Methods are described for controlling movement of dice in a gaming system. The gaming system includes an input device controllable by a user and a platform for holding the dice. The platform may be moved up and down by a drive to cause the dice to be moved upward and thrown above the surface of the platform. Data received from the input device may be used to determine the upward motion of the platform. The data may include the distance a user is from the input device. The data may also include how hard, how far and/or how fast a user pushes the input device. Data received from the input device may not be used to determine the upward motion of the platform. The time at which the platform may be moved may be randomly determined.

Abstract: A gaming apparatus having electronic input controls therein includes: a player input panel; a video display system; and a gaming processor. The player input panel may have a first input control specific to providing a command to the gaming processor and the player input panel. The command enables a second player input control on the player input panel. This second player input control is specific to alteration of game play so that physical activity at the player panel will enter commands to the gaming controller to execute gaming play without placing any economic value at risk during a demonstration period. The gaming processor allows the demonstration period to continue for only a predetermined time limit or event occurrence that does not result in resolution of a wager.

Abstract: A craps gaming system is directed to a craps table including a dice area and one or more sensors configured to sense when dice are added to the dice area and when dice are removed from the dice area. A plurality of player consoles located in close proximity to the craps table are connected over a network to the one or more sensors. Each player console is configured to enable players to place bets on a craps game played on the craps table. Each player console is configured to disable the player console from accepting further bets on the craps game when a signal is received from the one or more sensors indicating that dice have been removed from the dice area.

A controller associated with the roulette machine may regulate one or more inertial values associated with the roulette ball. A bet close time of a betting window associated with the live roulette games may be determined based on the one or more inertial values associated. A rotation velocity of the roulette wheel may be adjusted subsequent to a bet close time of a live roulette games. Game cycle events may be detected using audio associated with the live roulette games and audible and/or visual effects may be generated based on the audio. A controller associated with the roulette machine may synchronizes the live roulette games operated by the roulette machine with live roulette games operated by one or more additional roulette machines. Bets may be placed based on a player selected betting risk level.

Abstract: A gaming system and method where at least two player terminals, each including a seat, a display, inputs/outputs, a reader system, and an electro-mechanical component that provides a first gaming event unique to the terminal on which wagers can be placed and resolved based on a random event outcome. The system and method also includes a communal gaming system connected to terminals and including a processor and memory for storing code that executes a second gaming event that is common to each terminal and displayed on a display visible to each player of the terminals. The first gaming events are carried out on the terminals during or between each second gaming event.

Abstract: A craps gaming system is described including a craps table and a plurality of consoles. The craps table includes a dealer console configured to control play at the craps table and a shooter console configured to enable a shooter to place bets while also being a shooter. A plurality of player consoles located in close proximity to the craps table and connected over a network to the dealer console and the shooter console each include a display having a graphical user interface and a mechanism for receiving money or credits from a player. The dealer console communicates with each player console and generates a list of players eligible to be the shooter. When a player accepts of an invitation to be the shooter, the dealer console causes the network to mirror the graphical user interface and associated content from an accepting player's player console among the plurality of player consoles to the shooter console.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described herein for reading at least one dice. In one aspect, a method may include transmitting an RFID signal proximate to at least one dice, for example, which is contained within a dice gaming system. The method may also include receiving at least two RFID responses, with each of the RFID responses associated with different faces of at least one dice. A first RFID response may be associated with a first signal strength and the second RFID response associated with a second signal strength. The method may further include determining which side of the dice is facing upwards based on the first signal strength and the second signal strength using machine learning.

The processor identifies location of individual carriages with respect to individual viewing screens. The processor provides thematic content of the single identified theme to the at least two players in the individual respective ones of the multiple carriages. The theme may be gaming activity and include gaming input.
