Abstract: Cosmetic composition comprising, as film-forming agent, an aliphatic polyurethane based on dialkyl tartrate diol in a mixture of organic solvents and cosmetically acceptable ingredients.
Abstract: An innovative process is described for production of coloured powder cosmetic products. The process comprises forming a “slurry” (1) consisting of a powder cosmetic product and of water and/or solvent, pouring the slurry in a container (2) of anti-adhering material with shaped internal bottom (3) and smooth internal sidewalk (4). The slurry (1) poured into the container (2) is subjected to slight pressing by means of a plate (5) superimposed thereon. The process then provides freezing the slurry (1) inside the container (2) with the plate (5) arranged to close the top of the container (2), extracting and overturning the assembly consisting of the slurry (1) and of the plate (5) and putting such assembly (1, 5) into a cooking room.
Abstract: The present invention relates to cosmetic compositions comprising multiple functionalized maleic anhydride/?-olefin copolymers which have been functionalized with a first reactive —OH or —NH2 group containing organic compound and subsequently with a second reactive —OH or —NH2 group containing organic compound, different from the first one. Typical examples are multiple functionalized copolymers in which the first reactive —OH group containing compound is a C14-C28 monoalcohol, or a sitosterol, and the second reactive —OH group containing compound is bis-hydroxypropoxyethyldimethicone or bis-hydroxyethoxypropyldimethicone. The cosmetic compositions are particularly suitable for application to the skin, the lips and keratinous materials.

Abstract: A cosmetic powder, endowed with a hydrophobic coating based on alkoxy silicones, comprising a powder phase and a hydrophobic coating phase, said hydrophobic coating phase completely coats said powder phase and said coating phase consists of a compound of general formula (RO)3—Si—(CH2)3—NHCOR?, where R and R? have the meanings described in the disclosure. A cosmetic composition comprising said powder and to its uses in pressed powder foundations, pressed powder eye shadows, lipsticks or fluid foundations.
Abstract: Described herein is a cosmetic product with smoothing effect with rubber consistency which turns into powder during application, and the process to obtain it. The cosmetic product is usable as a base for smoothing and mat effect make up.
Abstract: There is described a process for producing multicolored solid powder wafers for use in solid beauty products, wherein the solid powder wafers so produced have a mosaic effect.
Abstract: A kit is described for the application of mascara comprising a bottle containing mascara, an applicator pad with bristles, a rod for supporting the pad and a cleaning and dosing scraper for the pad. The applicator pad is angled with respect to the rod.
Abstract: A cosmetic composition is described comprising functionalised polyanhydrides, specifically functionalised poly(alphaolefin-copolymer-maleic anhydride) copolymers, thereafter also indicated as functionalised polyanhydrides. It is further described a process to prepare such a cosmetic composition by the functionalisation of the polyanhydrides by opening reactions of the anhydride ring with molecules containing at least one OH or NH2 group.
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for the preparation of a poured cosmetic product with a superficial relief. There are provided a first step of dosing a liquid state mixture of said cosmetic product within a shaped mould, a second step of solidifying the mixture within the mould, a third step of extracting the cosmetic product from the mould by exerting perpendicular forces on the bottom surface of the cosmetic product, a fourth step of overturning the cosmetic product within a final container.
Abstract: The present invention refers to a package for containing and displaying cosmetic products and to a process for manufacturing the same. The package comprises a component (5) suitable to contain at least one cosmetic product (4). The component (5) is made of a material that is poured and left to harden.
Abstract: There is described a process for the preparation of a cosmetic product with powders (1, 20, 57) having different features, specifically being multicoloured, carried out by the steps of precipitating cosmetic powders, compressing, forming cavities (9, 26, 49), and exciding excesses. It is possible to obtain a cosmetic product (1, 20, 57) partitioned into coloured sectors (2, 3, 21, 22, 41, 52) which may even be very small and form detailed patterns. Such an invention allows to reduce working costs and achieve high levels in the quality of the cosmetics from the aesthetical point of view. (FIG. 1).
Abstract: A machine for the manufacture of flexible moulds is described, in particular for the obtainment of lipsticks or the like, which comprises a female mould including at least one moulding cavity fillable with a plastic fluid, a male mould including at least a male stem and means to insert said male stem into said cavity of the female mould after the same has been filled with said plastic fluid and to extract it from the same after a prefixed cooling period suitable to transform said fluid plastic into a flexible mould.
Abstract: Machine for the manufacture of lipsticks or similar, comprising a mobile support (1) for a plurality of housings (8) for flexible moulds (14) that are fillable with cosmetic product, said mobile support (1) being movable through a plurality of working positions comprising a position (17) for heating the flexible moulds, a position (18) for filling the flexible moulds with poured cosmetic product and a position (19) for cooling said poured cosmetic product. Said heating position (17) comprises means for the introduction of warm heating air into said moulds and said cooling position (19) comprises mould cooling means that operate by convection of cold air.
Abstract: An apparatus and a process for the production of multicolour poured cosmetic products with various shapes are described. Said apparatus comprises a melter (8) for the preparation of a melt cosmetic composition (9) thrust by pumping means (10) into a dose meter (12) controlled by a control unit (13) for the controlled delivery of a dose of cosmetic composition (9) into a container (31). Said dose meter (12) and said container (31) are mobile with respect to each other.
Abstract: A process and an apparatus for the production of compact powder cosmetic products with various shapes is described, in which a moulding container (13) made of sintered porous material is utilised, which collects a semi-fluid cosmetic composition or slurry, which is subsequently dried and extracted from the container.
Abstract: For the surface decoration of a cosmetic product (8), one proceeds as follows. One fills a non-shaped cavity (2) with a decorating product (3) and the shaving of the decorating product (3) that is input into said cavity (2) is carried out. A face (5) provided with shapes (6) of a pad (4) of yielding material is inserted and slightly compressed into the decorating product (3) contained inside said cavity (2) so as to make parts (3?) of said decorating product (3) adhere to said shapes (6) of the pad (4). The pad (4). (4) gets then above the cosmetic product (8) to be decorated, positioned and slightly compressed onto the surface of the cosmetic product (8) to be decorated in order to leave on it said parts (3?) of decorating product (3).
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition particularly for the make-up of the facial skin, the lips and the eyelashes. It contains as essential ingredients a particular silicone-containing polyurethane. The particular silicone, used as pre-polymer in the polyurethane of the invention is an alkoxylated, bis-hydroxyalkyl group terminated polydialkylsiloxane, in which the reactive OH— group is attached to a carbon atom. The balance contains the usual cosmetic excipients, colorants and other cosmetic additives, particularly clays, waxes and solvents. By the use of the particular silicone-containing polyurethane, improved film-forming properties of the composition are obtained, and the composition is transfer-resistant and easy to apply and skin friendly and comfortable in use. By introducing different kind of chain extenders into the silicone-containing polyurethanes, their physical, rheological and cosmetic properties can be tuned according to the formulator's needs.
