Abstract: A process for producing a crude product stream including an acrylate product and an alkylenating agent and separating at least a portion of the crude product stream to form alkylenating agent and intermediate product streams. The alkylenating agent stream comprises at least 1 wt % alkylenating agent and the intermediate product stream comprises acrylate products in high concentration. The crude product stream is formed by contacting acetic acid and formaldehyde in the presence of at least one aldol condensation catalyst under conditions effective to form the stream. Catalysts which are particularly useful are multielement oxide active materials of the general formula V1PbFecX1dX2eOn.

Abstract: A ram assembly is provided. In one embodiment, the ram assembly includes a base ram having a tapered profile and a seal coupled to the base ram in a manner that allows the seal to slide relative to the base ram during operation of the ram assembly. In some instances in which the ram assembly is installed in a blowout preventer, the tapered profile of the base ram can facilitate compression of the seal in multiple directions. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for implementing a dummy fill flow in a processor design that points to a library of fill shapes that are associated with (e.g., defined and supported according to) a particular foundry process. For example, a set of cell types is generated in accordance with a foundry process definition, so that each unit cell type has a unique type identifier and an associated polygon definition. These cell types can be stored as a cell library. An automated fill flow can generate a dummy fill of an integrated circuit geometry with respective shape fills having shape cells that each point to one of the cell types in the cell library. Some implementations can use the cell library to stream in and instantiate the fill in the geometric design of the integrated circuit.

Abstract: According to an aspect of the present disclosure, effort parameters for a task to be performed by a resource are maintained, the effort parameters together specifying a sequence of initial component efforts (as a number of base intervals) for the resource in each of a progression of super intervals in relation to performance of the task by the resource. A graph containing graphical elements representing the sequence of component efforts over the progression of super intervals is then sent for display. In response to receiving an input indicating a change of an effort parameter, a sequence of changed component efforts for the progression of super intervals is computed and the graph updated with the sequence of changed component efforts. Thus, a user may make desired changes to the component efforts and view the effect of such changes on all of the component efforts in an interactive manner.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for applying a controllable early/late offset to an at-rate clock data recovery (CDR) system. Some embodiments operate in context of a CDR circuit of a serializer/deserializer (SERDES). For example, slope asymmetry around the first precursor of the channel pulse response for the SERDES can tend to skew at-rate CDR determinations of whether to advance or retard clocking. Accordingly, embodiments use asymmetric voting thresholds for generating each of the advance and retard signals in an attempt to de-skew the voting results and effectively tune the CDR to a position either earlier or later than the first precursor zero crossing (i.e., h(?1)=0) position. This can improve link margin and data recovery, particularly for long data channels and/or at higher data rates.

Abstract: A memory system is described that provides error detection and correction after a failure of a memory component. Each block of data in the memory system includes an array of bits logically organized into R rows and C columns, including C-2 data-bit columns containing data bits, a row check bit column including row-parity bits for each of the R rows in the block, and an inner check bit column including X inner check bits. The inner check bits are defined to cover bits in the array according to a set of check vectors, wherein each check vector is associated with a different bit in the array and is an element of Res(P), a residue system. Moreover, each column is stored in a different memory component, and the check bits are generated from the data bits to provide block-level detection and correction for both memory errors and a failed memory component.

Abstract: A method for processing commands includes receiving, for multiple commands, doorbells for writing to a send queue scheduler buffer on a host channel adapter (HCA). The send queue scheduler buffer is associated with a send queue scheduler. The method further includes detecting a potential deadlock of the send queue scheduler from processing a portion of the doorbells, writing a subset of the doorbells to a doorbell overflow buffer on a host, operatively connected to the HCA, based on detecting the potential deadlock, and discarding the subset by the send queue scheduler without processing the subset of the plurality of doorbells before discarding.

Abstract: An adjustable fracturing system is provided. In one embodiment, the system includes a fracturing manifold and a fracturing tree. A fluid conduit is coupled between the fracturing manifold and the fracturing tree to enable receipt of fracturing fluid by the fracturing tree from the fracturing manifold. Further, the fluid conduit is an adjustable fluid conduit that allows an operator to vary a dimension of the fluid conduit to facilitate coupling of the fluid conduit between the fracturing manifold and the fracturing tree. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: Techniques for managing accounts are provided. An access management system may check out credentials for accessing target systems. For example a user may receive a password for a period of time or until checked back in. Access to the target system may be logged during this time. Upon the password being checked in, a security account may modify the password so that the user may not log back in without checking out a new password. Additionally, in some examples, password policies for the security account may be managed. As such, when a password policy changes, the security account password may be dynamically updated. Additionally, in some examples, hierarchical viewing perspectives may be determined and/or selected for visualizing one or more managed accounts. Further, accounts may be organized into groups based on roles, and grants for the accounts may be dynamically updated as changes occur or new accounts are managed.

Abstract: A string analysis tool for calculating a similarity metric between a source string and a plurality of target strings. The string analysis tool may include optimizations that may reduce the number of calculations to be carried out when calculating the similarity metric for large volumes of data. In this regard, the string analysis tool may represent strings as features. As such, analysis may be performed relative to features (e.g., of either the source string or plurality of target strings) such that features from the strings may be eliminated from consideration when identifying target strings for which a similarity metric is to be calculated. The elimination of features may be based on a minimum similarity metric threshold, wherein features that are incapable of contributing to a similarity metric above the minimum similarity metric threshold are eliminated from consideration.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that tracks and compensates for input signal noise at a receiver of a data communication channel. In particular embodiments, the receiver of the data communication link receives an input signal which comprises two signal levels. Next, for each of the two signal levels, the system generates an error signal by comparing the input signal value of the signal level with an expected signal value for the signal level. The system then updates a threshold signal value based on at least one of the two error signals associated with the two signal levels. Finally, the system compensates for input signal noise in the received input signal using the updated threshold signal value.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with generating social networks are described. In one embodiment, a method includes generating recommendations for expanding a social network for a user based at least in part on the user's membership to a workspace and other members of the workspace.

Abstract: A traffic director system and method having a software-based load balancer which can be used to deliver a fast, reliable, scalable, and secure platform for load-balancing traffic to back-end origin servers, such as web servers, application servers, or other resource servers. Traffic director instances of the traffic director are configured to receive and communicate requests, from clients to origin servers or pools of origin servers. The traffic director has an administration console which provides a graphic user interface (GUI) for use by an administrator in reviewing and configuring different configurable objects of the traffic director. The GUI includes a “never-get-lost” navigation model including navigation option sections and a navigation tree section. Each of the navigation options of the GUI of the traffic director system is associated with content for display within the navigation tree section of the GUI.

Abstract: A diverter system having stabbing dogs is provided. In one embodiment, such a system includes a diverter, a housing, and a plurality of stabbing dogs coupled to the housing. The stabbing dogs are positioned to enable locking elements of the stabbing dogs to be extended into recesses in the diverter to secure the diverter within the housing. At least one of the recesses in the diverter is connected to a fluid conduit within the diverter, and at least one stabbing dog includes a fluid passage that enables fluid to be routed into the fluid conduit within the diverter through the at least one stabbing dog. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: Techniques for credential auditing are provided. Histories for credentials are evaluated against a principal credential policy for a user and an enterprise credential policy for an enterprise as a whole. An audit trail is produced within a report for the histories. The report indicates whether compliance with the principal and enterprise credential policies occurred and if not at least one reason is provided as to why compliance was not met within the histories.

Abstract: One embodiment is directed to a computer program, embodied on a computer readable medium. The computer program is configured to control a processor to execute instructions. The instructions include receiving one or more files as input. The files may each include descriptions of different shapes. The instructions may further include interpreting each of the files as a layer of shapes, converting each of the shapes into an interactive element, layering the converted shapes onto one another to create a custom interactive display, and displaying the custom interactive display.

Abstract: An asymmetrical ram button is provided. In one embodiment, a system includes a blowout preventer including such a button. Particularly, the blowout preventer may include an actuation assembly having the asymmetric ram button attached to a connecting rod coupled to a piston. The asymmetric body of the button can engage an internal shoulder of the ram such that a retraction force on the actuation assembly causes the asymmetrical ram button to load against the internal shoulder. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for content addressable memory (CAM) error recovery that includes detecting an error in an entry of a CAM, identifying an address of the entry in the CAM, copying data from the address in the backup random access memory (RAM) into the entry of the CAM to obtain a corrected CAM, clearing a results (first in first out) FIFO structure based on detecting the error, performing, using the corrected CAM, a match request stored in a replay FIFO structure to obtain a revised result, and storing the revised result in the results FIFO structure.

Abstract: A fluid recovery system is provided. In one embodiment, the fluid recovery system includes a telescoping joint of a marine riser having an inner barrel and an outer barrel configured to extend and retract with respect to one another when installed as part of the marine riser. A drip pan is coupled to the outer barrel to enable the drip pan to catch fluid, such as drilling mud, leaking from the telescoping joint between the inner barrel and the outer barrel. In this embodiment, the fluid recovery system also includes a pump and a return conduit that are coupled to enable the pump to pump caught fluid from the drip pan back into the telescoping joint via the return conduit. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A multi-tenant identity management (IDM) system enables IDM functions to be performed relative to various different customers' domains within a shared cloud computing environment and without replicating a separate IDM system for each separate domain. The IDM system can provide IDM functionality to service instances located within various different customers' domains while enforcing isolation between those domains. A cloud-wide identity store implemented as a single LDAP directory can contain identity information for multiple customers' domains. This single LDAP directory can store identities for entities for all tenants, in separate partitions or subtrees of the LDAP directory, each such partition or subtree being dedicated to a separate identity domain for a tenant. Components of the cloud computing environment ensure that LDAP entries within a particular subtree are accessible only to service instances that have been deployed to the identity domain that corresponds to that particular subtree.
