Abstract: In the manufacture of segment filters, appropriately prepared segments (1) are transferred through a delivery zone (2) to a separation zone (4) equipped with a separating unit (5), and then transferred between the drivers (8) of a rotating disk (9) mounted on axis (10), which constitutes a transferring unit (11), and intercepted by the said unit (11.) in an interception zone (T), they are transferred individually through a transfer zone (12) to a placement zone (14), where they are positioned on the horizontal track of the grouping belt (13), and in the case of incorrect flow of filter segments (1) in any zone (2, 4, 7, 12, 14) and/or between the zones, the process of the transfer of the filter segments in at least one zone is interrupted, which causes the interruption of the filters production process.

Abstract: A method and a device for distributing cut tobacco for feeding cigarette-making machines. The distributing device is equipped with a distribution chamber having a bottom, with a feeding channel for feeding the cut tobacco to the distribution chamber, the channel being connected to the chamber from above, with at least one receiving channel for receiving the cut tobacco from the distribution chamber, the receiving channel being connected to the chamber at side walls thereof. A rotary element for changing local bulk density and disturbing the flow of the cut tobacco fed to the distribution chamber is eccentrically mounted to a stationary bottom of the distribution chamber.

Abstract: A method of destructive opening cigarette packs in which the packs are successively mechanically deformed by deflection of at least one wall of each pack toward the outside of the pack, then the deflected wall of the pack is incised from the outside and a pack opening element is slid between the deflected wall of the pack and the cigarettes contained therein, and the pack is opened from the inside by means of the pack opening element. Abstract: Method of separating tobacco from cigarette waste using an apparatus comprising a circular revolving screen, in which the cigarette waste is fed onto the said screen in order to be screened by gravity, the method including relocation the cigarette waste over the surface of the screen, the said relocation being aided by scraping means cooperating with said screen and the angular position of the screen in the apparatus relative to the horizontal plane being adjustable. Apparatus for separating tobacco from cigarette waste comprising a circular revolving screen which is adjustably mounted in such a way that the angular position of the screen in the apparatus relative to the horizontal plane is adjustable, provided with scraping means for aiding relocation of the cigarette waste on the surface of the screen during its rotational movement. Abstract: Method of opening a cigarette wrapper including cutting open a cigarette transported in a guiding groove of a feeder of a machine for recovering tobacco from defective and/or substandard cigarettes with at least one revolving disc knife located above the feeder, in which the at least one revolving disc knife is applied to the cigarette in such a way that the axis of rotation on which the said disc knife is perpendicularly mounted lies on a plane parallel to the plane over which the cigarette axis is translated, and the plane of the disc knife does not contain the cigarette axis and is parallel to the said cigarette axis, the possibility of rotation of the cigarette around its axis in the guiding groove is blocked, whereby tensile stress is applied in the cigarette wrapper facilitating its opening. Abstract: Assembly having a plurality of conveyors (7, 8, 11, 23, 25, 29) and a variable capacity store (2) with one inlet (3) and one outlet (4) formed on two neighboring levels, a lower one (5) and an upper one (6), closed with a common back plate (9), fixed to a slide (13) making reciprocating movements, the concave surface (10) of which, on the interior side of the store (2) constitutes a conveyor (11), provided with a rotary arm, fixed to a slide (13), the axis of rotation of which is coaxial with a centre of curvature of the surface (10) of the back plate (9), and at the inlet (3) there is a swing mounted valve element (18) and a swing limiter (26) for displacing rod shaped elements (1), whereas at the outlet (4) there is swing mounted valve element (20). Moreover the invention presents a method of controlling mass flow of rod shaped elements in the store (2) and self-filling and self-emptying of the store (2) constituting a part of the assembly disposed in a production line of products of tobacco industry.

Abstract: Device provided for unloading compartment trays (2), filled with rod shaped elements (25), having an inlet conveyor (1) for full trays (2) and an outlet conveyors (3) for empty trays (2?) arranged parallel in one plane, and having a turning unit (4) for trays (2), provided with a supporting plate (6) and a turning unit (12) for trays (2?). It is provided with a linear transporter (14) for trays (2, T) situated in a plane perpendicular to the plane of conveyors (1, 3), provided with a movable arranged gripping unit (16) for trays (2) and a gripping unit (17) for trays (2?). Below a transporter (14) in the zone of operating of the gripping unit (16) there is situated an unloading conveyor (24) the end of which is situated at the inlet of an immovable throat (27).

Abstract: System having a transitory store (S), in the inlet zone (5) of which, there are disposed fillers (4) for compartment trays, to which rod shaped elements are delivered by in-feed conveyors (3) in form of mass flow from making machines (1), and each machine is assigned with a separate filler (4). In the outlet zone (9) of the store (S) there are disposed unloaders (8) for said trays, and rod shaped elements are delivered by out-feed conveyors (10) in form of mass flow to processing machines (2), and each machine (2) is assigned with a separate unloader (8). On the trajectory of each out-feed conveyor (10) there is situated an emptying hopper (11) co-operating with a mobile filler (12) for compartment trays. Moreover in the inlet zone (5) of the store (S) there is situated a filler (4?) for compartment trays, connected to an unloader (6) for one chamber trays with an in-feed conveyor (3?), and an in-feed conveyor (14), and in the outlet zone (9) there is situated an out-feed conveyor (15).
