Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable electronic device and an external keyboard thereof. The portable electronic device comprises a first port comprising a circular earphone plug and a keyboard plug. The external keyboard comprises a main body, a keyboard array and a second port. The keyboard array is disposed on the main body and comprises a plurality of scan signal lines. The second port is electrically coupled to the scan signal lines of the keyboard array, and is capable of inserting into the first port of the portable electronic device so as to electrically couple to the keyboard plug. Therefore, the external keyboard can be connected to an earphone jack in a plug-and-play fashion without necessarity to add a new port such that the external keyboard is convenient to use and carry and can be freely rotated in any angle.

  • Publication number: 20110066720
Abstract: A network connection status detecting system is provided for detecting a network connection status of a server, and the detecting system includes a plurality of monitoring servers and a central processing server. Each monitoring server is communicably coupled to the server and continues detecting the network connection status of the server. If the detected network connection status of the server is offline, offline information including an offline starting time will be produced. The central processing server contains a selected time interval and receives the offline information to compute a time difference between the offline starting times. If all time differences are smaller than the selected time interval, then the central processing server determines that the network connection status of the server is an offline status and records the earliest offline starting time as an offline time.

Abstract: An engageable structure and an engageable electronic apparatus with such engageable structure are disclosed. The engageable structure includes a housing and a support. The housing has a first hole and a second hole. The first hole defines therein a first position and a second position, and the second hole defines therein a third position and a fourth position. The second position corresponds to the third position. The support includes a first pivot section and a second pivot section for fastening on a first coupling unit and a second coupling unit respectively. When the first and the second coupling unit are pivotably coupled to the first hole and the second hole respectively and then moved into the second position and the third position respectively, the support and the housing are engaged.

  • Publication number: 20100313738
Abstract: The present invention relates to an audio smoothing system for smoothing an audio waveform to generate a smoothed waveform, comprising an audio generator, an audio smoothing device and an operating interface. The audio smoothing device is provided for receiving an audio waveform of the audio generator to smooth a sound corresponding to the audio waveform, and the audio smoothing system comprises a sound volume modulator, a waveform divider and a calculator. An audio smoothing method comprises the steps of: dividing the audio waveform according to a predetermined cycle time while the audio waveform is received; calculating respectively average waveform amplitudes; after setting an input sound volume via the operating interface, dividing the input sound volume by amplitude values respectively to obtain amplitude parameters; and multiplying all the-amplitude parameters with the amplitude values corresponding to the divided audio waveforms to obtain the smoothed waveform.

  • Publication number: 20100312475
Abstract: The present invention relates to a turning determining method for assisting navigation. The navigation method provides a navigation display while a GPS terminal device is moving along a curved path and when GPS information is not available, the navigation method captures a plurality of background images upon the GPS terminal device moving along the curved path to determine a turning and maintain navigation frames. Then the background images are processed to obtain the deviation direction of the reference point by subtraction and comparison, or to capture specific object image as reference. The navigation method utilizes a GPS terminal device comprising an image capture unit to capture images.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a navigation method. The navigation method provides a navigation display while a GPS terminal device is moving along a road with a traffic marking marked thereon and when GPS information is not available. The navigation method captures a plurality of images comprising the road image with traffic markings and calculates a time of the GPS terminal device passing by the end points of the traffic marking. Then, the moving velocity is computed by using the time as divisor and the unit line as dividend. The navigation method utilizes a GPS terminal device comprising an image capture unit and a timer. The image capture unit captures images and the timer calculates the time.
