  • Patent number: 12640958
Abstract: A method for forwarding data content from a second data connection and a third data connection of a node of a data network to a first data connection of the node, wherein data content received at the second data connection has priority over data content received at the third data connection, includes interrupting forwarding of data content received via the third data connection as soon as reception of data content at the second data connection is detected. The data content received at the second data connection is fed into an intermediate buffer (memory) and the output of the data content received via the second data connection, via the first data connection, is delayed for a definable time period.

  • Patent number: 12600598
Abstract: An elevator system includes an elevator car and a laser distance measuring device. The elevator car is moved along a travel path that is delimited at the top by an upper boundary and at the bottom by a lower boundary. The laser distance measuring device emits a laser beam and determines a distance to a position at which the laser beam impinges on an object. The laser distance measuring device is mounted on the elevator car such that the laser beam can be directed upward to the upper boundary in a first configuration and can be directed downward to the lower boundary in a second configuration. A current position of the elevator car can thereby be determined in a redundant manner. Furthermore, in a third configuration, lateral distances to boundary markers can be measured to read out information that is codified by the boundary markers.

  • Patent number: 12589973
Abstract: A method for controlling a maintenance mode of an elevator system includes: recognizing a machine-detectable feature in an automated manner using a portable computer-controlled device of a technician and, subsequently, outputting a maintenance completion signal, the machine-detectable feature being within the elevator system such that it can only be detected by the computer-controlled device located outside an elevator shaft of the elevator system and wherein the machine-detectable feature is uniquely assigned to the elevator system; receiving the maintenance completion signal by an elevator controller controlling the maintenance mode and, subsequently, completing the maintenance mode. The method and an elevator control arrangement configured to carry out the method enables a maintenance mode to be completed by the technician in the elevator system in a simple, intuitive, and safe manner without the need for significant additional hardware.

  • Patent number: 12589972
Abstract: A method for controlling an elevator installation uses a computer-controlled mobile device. The elevator installation includes an elevator shaft having a plurality of shaft thresholds each assigned to one floor, an elevator car having a car threshold and is moveable along the elevator shaft, and a control unit for moving the elevator car. The mobile device has an evaluation unit that communicates with the control unit. Information generated using at least one component of the mobile device as a result of a height deviation between the car threshold and a shaft threshold located opposite the car threshold is received in the evaluation unit, is then evaluated and control information for moving the elevator car is generated. The control information is sent to the control unit to move the elevator car such that the height deviation between the car threshold and the shaft threshold is minimized.

  • Patent number: 12570500
Abstract: An elevator system inspection control system and method for switching between normal and inspection operating modes includes a safety chain series circuit having at least one shaft or door contact switch and an operating device in an elevator shaft. The operating device includes a changeover switch for switching between modes. The safety chain is closed to drive an elevator car by establishing a current path between an electrical power source and a motor. When interrupted, the safety chain interrupts the current path thereby stopping the car. The control system includes a manual switch outside the shaft and a control element. The safety chain is closed or interrupted by activating or deactivating the control element while the current path to the motor remains permanently interrupted until the manual switch is actuated when the changeover switch switches the elevator system from the inspection operating mode to the normal operating mode.

  • Patent number: 12559346
Abstract: In an elevator installation, an elevator control system is configured to receive an elevator call from a person via a call terminal and from a robot via a radio transceiver. A current transport capacity of the elevator installation is determined. An elevator call originating from the robot is recognized by the elevator control system, the call including a priority level set by a dispatcher, wherein the priority level is one of a high, a medium and a low priority range, wherein the elevator call is indicative of a boarding floor. The allocation of the elevator call originating from the robot to the elevator car is delayed if the priority level is set to the medium priority range and the current transport capacity is lower than a first threshold value, or if the priority level is set to the low priority range and the current transport capacity is lower than a second threshold value.

  • Patent number: 12559350
Abstract: A method for controlling a closing movement of a door of an elevator car in the event of a power failure uses the door drive and an electrical energy store. During normal operation of the door by the door drive, electrical energy is buffered in the energy store. In response to a power failure when the door is open, a closing mechanism begins to close the door and the stored electrical energy is provided as backup energy to the door drive by a control device to decelerate the closing movement.
