Abstract: A non-volatile memory apparatus and method of operation are provided. The apparatus includes storage elements connected to a word line. Each of the storage elements is configured to be programmed to a respective target data state. The apparatus also includes a respective bit line associated with each of the storage elements and a control circuit configured to apply a plurality of program pulses to the word line that progressively increase by a program step voltage. The control circuit counts an over programming number of the storage elements having a threshold voltage exceeding an over programming verify level of the respective target data state that is less than a default verify level and based on the program step voltage. The control circuit adjusts a voltage of the respective bit line to one or more adjusted levels in response to the over programming number being greater than a predetermined over programming number.
Abstract: An exemplary charger removal method includes, among other things, transmitting a request to remove a charger from an electrified vehicle. The request is routed based on encoded information within a charger request label of the electrified vehicle. An exemplary charger removal system includes, among other things, a charge port assembly of an electrified vehicle that can transition from a locked to an unlocked position with a charger in response to a command. The system further includes a charger request label on the electrified vehicle. The charger request label contains encoded information enabling a first user to initiate a transmission of a request for the command from a second user.
Abstract: A quantum communications system may include a transmitter node, a receiver node, and a quantum communications channel coupling the transmitter node and receiver node. The transmitter node may include a pulse transmitter and a pulse divider downstream therefrom. The pulse divider may be configured to divide each pulse having a plurality of X photons into a plurality of Y time bins with Y>X. The receiver node may include a pulse recombiner and a pulse receiver downstream from the pulse recombiner.

Abstract: Prostheses and methods of making the same are provided. The prosthesis has an internal branch configuration. A trough or branch opening is at least partially defined by a trough wall extending into a main lumen from a sidewall of the prosthesis. Abstract: A vehicle may be configured to detect an object within an interior of the vehicle using a vehicle sensor. The vehicle may further determine whether the object should be removed, based on a determined object value, such as may be determined by comparison of an object characteristic to a database of objects. Also, responsive to determining the object should be removed, the vehicle may schedule removal at an automated object-removal center. The vehicle may also wirelessly notify the object-removal center of vehicle arrival when the vehicle arrives at the object-removal center, including sending identification of the object, receiving indication from the object-removal center that the object has been removed, and confirming removal of the object by attempting to detect the object using the vehicle sensor, the confirmation occurring based on non-detection of the object by the vehicle that originally detected the object and requested removal.

Abstract: A system for assisting in aligning a vehicle for hitching with a trailer includes a controller that receives scene data from a detection system and identifies the trailer within the area to the rear of the vehicle, derives a backing path to align a hitch ball mounted on the vehicle to a coupler of the trailer, and derives a steering control signal, a powertrain control signal, and a brake control signal to respectively control a vehicle steering system, a vehicle powertrain control system, and a vehicle brake system to maneuver the vehicle, including reversing along the backing path. The controller processes at least one of the steering control signal, powertrain control signal, and brake signal according to one of a distance to the coupler, derived from the scene data, or a vehicle speed, obtained from the vehicle speed sensor.
Abstract: Various embodiments set forth a foveated display system and components thereof. The foveated display system includes a peripheral display module disposed in series with a foveal display module. The peripheral display module is configured to generate low-resolution, large field of view imagery for a user's peripheral vision. The foveal display module is configured to perform foveated rendering in which high-resolution imagery is focused towards a foveal region of the user's eye gaze. The peripheral display module may include a diffuser that is disposed within a pancake lens, which is a relatively compact design. The foveal display module may include a Pancharatnam-Berry Phase grating stack that increases the steering range of a beam-steering device such that a virtual image can be steered to cover an entire field of view visible to the user's eye.

Abstract: A LIDAR transceiver includes an input port, optical antennas, an optical switch, splitters, and mixers. The optical switch switchably couples an input port to the optical antennas. Abstract: A depth camera assembly for depth sensing of a local area includes a structured light generator, an imaging device, and a controller. The structured light generator illuminates a local area with structured light and includes an illumination source, a mounting element, and a diffractive optical element (DOE) mounted on the mounting element. The mounting element can have a plurality of adjustable positions relative to the illumination source based on emission instructions from the controller. The DOE generates, using light emitted from the illumination source, diffracted scanning beams that are projected as the structured light into the local area. A pattern of the structured light is dynamically adjustable and unique for each adjustable position of the mounting element. The imaging device captures image(s) of the structured light reflected from object(s) in the local area. The controller determines depth information for the object(s) based in part on the captured image(s).
