  • Patent number: 4528867
Abstract: A transmission case for tractors consists of three parts, a front transmission case, a rear transmission case and a spacer transmission case, the spacer transmission case having a mounting flange around its outer periphery. The front and rear transmission cases are securely mounted to the mounting flange of the spacer transmission case so that the spacer transmission case is contained in either or both of the front and rear transmission cases thereby minimizing the entire length of the transmission case. The transmission case is also characterized in that the spacer transmission case has an opening in the ceiling to enable easy access to the gear components installed in the spacer transmission case during assembling work and adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4516654
Abstract: The invention relates to a front-wheel drive device for a vehicle in which an inner gear case is mounted onto the outer end of a front axle housing which contains a front-wheel drive axle, an outer gear case equipped with a gear chamber which is open toward the outside is fitted onto the inner gear case while maintaining the freedoms of steering and turning, a planetary gear mechanism is introduced into the gear chamber, the opening thereof is closed by attaching a cover supporting the front wheel axle over the outer gear case, and the front wheel axle is driven at a reduced speed by the planetary gear mechanism via a bevel gear mechanism which is driven by the front-wheel drive axle. The improvement to this device is that an inner member of the front wheel axle extends into the gear chamber, and the sun gear of the planetary gear mechanism and the bevel gear on the output side of the bevel gear mechanism are allowed to rotate freely as a unitary structure about the inner member.

  • Patent number: 4498349
Abstract: A front power take-off for tractors. A drive pinion shaft provided in a differential mechanism for driving the front wheels is positioned in the center of pivotal movements of a front axle housing a front working power out-put shaft and a front wheel drive power input shaft for driving a drive pinion are disposed so that the axes of these power shafts are under and on the right and left sides of the drive pinion shaft, and two transmission shafts disposed in right and left portions of a lower section of a transmission case connect drive mechanisms provided in said right and left portions of the lower section of the transmission case to the power shafts. The rotary power taken out from the transmission case is transmitted by the transmission shafts to their respective front power take-off portions at a high speed without these shafts vibrating.

  • Patent number: 4415451
Abstract: A process for waste water disposal is herein disclosed, in which waste water of high BOD concentration is subjected to an aeration treatment in an aeration vessel so as to reduce the BOD concentration thereof by circulating within said aeration vessel a quantity of coal or active carbon of which 80% or higher is of particle size between 2 and 5 mm and less than 50% is of particle size difference within a range of 0 to 0.5 mm, and microorganisms implanted thereon. Said aeration vessel is adapted for effective disposal of waste water of high BOD concentration without any requirement of water dilution and comprises a pair of long side walls, a pair of short side walls, a bottom wall defined by these pairs of side walls, an upper opening, wherein a lower portion of one long side wall is at an angle of 45.degree. to 60.degree. with respect to the horizontal, and a plurality of air blower pipes provided along the inner surface of the other long side wall adjacent said bottom wall.

  • Patent number: 4377110
Abstract: An apparatus for separating hulls from unhulled rice having a fixed rotating roll and a movable rotatable roll located in pressure contact with the fixed roll. A control rod connected to a biasing spring holds the movable roll in pressure contact with the fixed roll. An automatically operated control senses the biasing force of the biasing means and adjusts the biasing force to maintain substantially constant contact pressure between the fixed and movable rolls.
