Abstract: A tote has a hollow main body, a plurality of wheels, and an axle. The hollow main body has a plurality of side walls and a base wall. The base wall defines an open top and a cavity. The open top is circumscribed by a rim. The open top is configured to be covered by a lid. The base wall is bounded by the plurality of side walls. The base wall also includes a pair of outer wheel wells and a central wheel well. The central wheel well is disposed between the outer wheel wells and separated from the outer wheel wells by axle supports. Each of the plurality of wheels is disposed in one of the outer wheel wells and the central wheel well. The axle is connected to each of the wheels. The axle is rotatably supported by the axle supports of the hollow main body.

Abstract: A device for selectively storing and mixing two liquids. The device comprises a first interior portion for storing a first liquid, a second interior portion for storing a second liquid, and a valve intermediate to the first and second interior portions. The valve moves between at least two positions, a first position preventing the first and second liquids from mixing, and a second position allowing the first and second liquids to mix. The valve includes a first member protruding from a first side and a second member protruding from a second side.

Abstract: A string hanging device for hanging a continuous ornamental string on a physical object having a portion elevated above the upward reach of a user, is disclosed. The string hanging device includes a tubular member having an arcuately curved interior passageway configured for receiving the ornamental string. The passageway includes an entry port and an exit port. A pole member is included that has a proximal end and a distal end, and a coupler portion disposed at the distal end. A coupler is provided for removably coupling the tubular member to the coupler portion of the distal end of the pole. A hook member includes a coupler for removably coupling the hook member to the coupler portion of the distal end of the pole.

Abstract: A modular shelf assembly that is adapted to interlock with adjacent modular shelf assemblies. The modular shelf assembly may include a shelf unit, a plurality of supports, and a plurality of feet. The shelf units, supports, and feet, in combination, are adapted to create the modular shelf assembly. The shelf unit may also be modular and have a shelf body that includes a cap. Each cap may have interlocking apertures that are adapted to receive interlocking components, which are used to connect multiple shelf assemblies.

Abstract: A Stirling cycle machine with a liquid fuel/gaseous fuel burner. The burner may include a preheater to capture the thermal energy of the exhaust. The burner directs the preheated air to each burner head, where it enters a prechamber. Each burner head includes a fuel nozzle that directs liquid or gaseous fuel into the prechamber. The prechamber is fluidically connected to a combustion chamber via a prechamber nozzle that has a smaller opening than the prechamber. The burner head ignites the fuel air mixture in the prechamber with an ignitor located above or within the prechamber. The flame is initially lit as a diffusion flame in the prechamber. The flame is pushed out of the prechamber into the combustion chamber by an increased air flow rate. The liquid fuel from the nozzle now evaporates in the prechamber and forms a prevaporized flame in the combustion chamber.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to an air purifier system. The air purifier system includes a housing, a light source disposed within the housing, and an air guide positioned around the light source. The housing includes at least one intake opening and at least one outlet opening. The light source defines a light source length and is configured to emit light of a wavelength capable of killing pathogens in air passing the light source. The air guide redirects flow of air around the light source in a pathway having a length longer than the light source length.

Abstract: Cosmetic cuticle apparatuses are presented. A cosmetic cuticle apparatus includes a handle portion having a first end and a second end, two cuticle maintaining devices coupled to the handle portion, and at least one cuticle buffer coupled to at least one side of the two cuticle maintaining devices. The two cuticle maintaining devices include a cuticle pusher having an arcuate periphery and a “V”-shaped cuticle cleaner having a “V”-shaped cross-section.

Abstract: A process for producing nanoparticles of a substance, including in a first chamber, forming a dispersion of a substance in a fluid and bringing the fluid into a supercritical state; passing the dispersion from the first chamber through a cooling device or into a cooling zone in a second chamber, wherein the cooling device or cooling zone configured to reduce temperature of the dispersion below a temperature at which the fluid forms solid particles such that nanoparticles of the substance are formed, wherein the second chamber comprises a surface configured to receive the solid particles of the fluid and the nanoparticles of the substance; allowing pressure to decrease and/or temperature to increase in the second chamber to transform the solid particles into a gaseous state, removing the fluid in the gaseous state and with the nanoparticles remaining on the surface; and collecting the nanoparticles from the surface.

Abstract: An artists' brush storage and protection device includes a storage unit having a plurality of storage compartments, each of the storage compartments including a cover with a paint well below the cover, the paint well defined in part by upstanding walls, an exterior one of the upstanding walls defining a recess with a resilient sealing member disposed therein. Each of the covers may be opened permitting access to the paint well or closed against the upstanding walls of the paint well and the sealing member. The storage unit may further include drawer slides and a palette slidable on the drawer slides relative to the storage unit to reveal or conceal the palette. When bristles of a paint brush are placed in the paint well, its handle rests upon the resilient sealing member which compresses around the handle when the cover is closed to provide a substantially air-tight seal.

Abstract: A telescoping syringe suitable for use with medications and other materials is presented. The telescoping syringe includes a valve, a plunger, and a barrel. The valve further includes a barrier, an outlet(s) through the barrier, and an annular extension extending from the barrier. The plunger further includes an inlet(s) and a first side wall with a proximal wall. The barrel includes a second side wall with a distal wall at one end and an open end at another end. The plunger is extendable from and retractable into the barrel at the open end via slidable engagement between first and second walls. The valve directly contacts one end of the first wall so that an annular flange slidingly engages an annular groove. The valve and the barrel slidingly contact the plunger so as to open and to close the inlet(s) and/or the outlet(s).

Abstract: A method is provided for enhancing comfort of a seat with a hip/thigh support and a back support. The method includes providing a seating pad assembly with a foam cushion made at least partly of a viscoelastic foam and having a cover formed from a dimensionally stable non-stretch material. An upper area of the seating pad assembly is attached to an upper area of the seat back. Pelvic and upper back areas of a person sitting on the seat deform the viscoelastic foam sufficiently to provide a comfortable support and to define anchors for the seating pad assembly. The non-stretch cover extends between those anchors for effectively supporting and cradling the lumbar back area of the person in the seat above and forward of the corner between the seat back and the hip/thigh support.

Abstract: The innovation relates to a pool covering system that is usable as a flooring surface. The pool covering system includes brackets and support beams spanning the pool opening. The beams provide structural support to cross members and flooring placed on top of the beams. The pool covering system does not require significant drainage of the pool and does not damage the pool structure during installation and use.

Abstract: An angle measurement apparatus for use with a panel such as siding is provided. The apparatus includes a base portion defining a locating feature that is engageable with a reference feature on the panel. An arm portion is rotatably mounted with respect to the base portion such that the arm portion is selectively rotatable with respect to the base portion about an axis. The arm portion can thus be rotated to form a desired angle with the base portion, and, correspondingly, with the panel.

Abstract: A computing system directs a transmission of a first data piece and a second data piece to an electronic device, when the electronic device is engaged in an initial web browser session on an initial web browser, for storage in an electronic device memory. The first data piece is associated with a first domain linked to the initial web browser and contains an electronic device identification. The second data piece is associated with a second domain linked to the initial web browser and contains the electronic device identification. The computing system retrieves the second data piece from the electronic device memory when the computing system is unable to retrieve the first data piece from the electronic device memory. The second data piece retrieved from the electronic device contains the electronic device identification and items of anonymous personal identification information provided by the electronic device during the initial web browser session.
