Abstract: A projector includes: a discharge lamp; a discharge lamp drive section which supplies an electric power to the discharge lamp; and a control section which controls the discharge lamp drive section, wherein a period interposed between the switching timings which are temporally adjacent to each other starts in a first period and ends in a second period, wherein the control section controls, on the basis of a correlation pattern which indicates the correlation between a first electric power and a second electric power, the discharge lamp drive section to supply the first electric power to the discharge lamp in the first period and to supply the second electric power to the discharge lamp in the second period, and wherein the correlation pattern includes a pattern in which as the second electric power is decreased, the ratio of the first electric power to the second electric power is increased.

Abstract: The present invention provides a battery-monitoring device is provided that monitors a voltage state of each battery cell constituting a battery, including: a voltage detection circuit; a management circuit which manages voltage detection data of each battery cell using the voltage detection circuit; a communication mode converter which is connected to the voltage detection circuit through a first communication line for communicating using a clock synchronous communication mode, and is connected to the management circuit through a second communication line for communicating using a clock asynchronous communication mode; and an insulating element which is interposed in the second communication line, wherein the communication mode converter transmits the voltage detection data, received from each of the voltage detection circuits through the first communication line, through the second communication line to the management circuit.

The ground contacts include flex portions that are configured to be compressed between the conductive surface and the engagement side of the mating connector when the mating connector is coupled to the electrical connector during a mating operation. The outbound message is sent to a receiver node within the network. An inbound message is received from a sender node within the network. The inbound message has inbound strings including a first set of the inbound strings representing inbound characteristics and a second set of the inbound strings representing inbound content. An inbound file having the inbound content is stored, and the inbound characteristics are applied to the inbound file.

Abstract: Adaptive demand response based on distributed load control may be provided. A demand response request indicative of a demand response event for an area may be received. A maximum power consumption for the area during the demand response event may be determined based on the demand response request. One or more set points for the area during the demand response event may be determined prior to the demand response event. The one or more set points are determined based on the maximum power consumption. Prior to or during the demand response event, a real-time power consumption for the area may be calculated. When the real-time power consumption exceeds the maximum power consumption, one or more loads in the area may be controlled to maintain the real-time power consumption at or below the maximum power consumption.

Abstract: A Unified Bandwidth Manager that functions as a multi-service bandwidth manager to interface with and hierarchically manage a plurality of service-specific bandwidth reservation and session management systems is described. The Unified Bandwidth Manager includes at least a hierarchical control structure, and an interface for providing observed information relevant to policy, goal, and resource usage to the hierarchical control structure. The hierarchical control structure is provided with a plurality of feedback inputs that are responsive to associated ongoing observation information from each of an associated observation reporting element. The hierarchical control structure uses the plurality of feedback inputs, together with policy information or goal information, to produce at least one element of outgoing control information.

A resin (sea component) that constitutes the sea region of the sea-island structure comprises a dichroic dye, and a resin (island component) that constitutes the island regions of the sea-island structure is a transparent resin. The polarizing fiber of the present invention may be used as a forming material of a polarizer, for example. By using the above polarizing fiber, a polarizer wherein unevenness of the transmittance is small and cracks are less generated may be formed.

Abstract: A method of allocating resource elements in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) system for transmission of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is disclosed. The method includes converting one or more resource elements to a two-dimensional frequency-time domain; and partitioning the one or more converted resource elements to units of a physical resource block (PRB). One or more resource elements are patterned over at least a portion of the PRB for transmission of the CSI-RS. According to an embodiment, the CSI-RS resource elements with a same subcarrier index for a common cell are code division multiplexed (CDM), with a CDM dimension equal to a number of CSI-RS resource elements with the same subcarrier index for the common cell.

In this regard, a node in a network may be authenticated as a trusted third party and that trusted third party may be enabled to acquire security information shared between or among a plurality of network entities. In this manner, the trusted third party may parse, access and operate on IPSec encrypted traffic communicated between or among the plurality of network entities. Shared security information may comprise one or more session keys utilized for encrypting and/or decrypting the IPSec secured traffic. The node may parse IPSec traffic and identify a flow associated with the IPsec traffic. In this manner, the node may generate and/or communicate statistics pertaining to said IPSec secured traffic based on the flow with which the traffic is associated.

Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor that may perform general purpose register recovery operations after an instruction flush operation that an exception, such as a branch misprediction causes. The processor receives an instruction stream that may include multiple instructions that operate on a particular target register that stores instruction result information. The general purpose register may temporarily store instruction opcode and register bits information for use during dispatch, execution and other operations. The processor includes a recovery buffer unit for use during flush recovery operations. The processor may use recovery valid and recovery pending bits that correspond with each instruction during the register recovery from flush operation.

A task advisor identifies a set of queries and a set of data sources mapped to a task type in a mapping entry. The task type is associated with a selected task. The mapping entry maps the task type to the set of queries. The set of queries is mapped to the set of data sources. The task advisor sends each query in the set of queries to a corresponding data source in the set of data sources. The task advisor aggregates the data received from the set of data sources in response to the set of queries. A user may utilize the aggregated data to complete the selected task.
