Abstract: In a push back cart rack storage system, the top or first cart, as well as the second cart, may be made with less material, and may be significantly simpler and lighter in comparison to existing designs. A push-back cart storage system has a single pair of push-back rails in each lane. A third cart has front and back wheels rolling on a lower inside flange of the push-back rails. A second cart has front wheels rolling on a lower inside cart flange of side rails of the third cart, and has rear wheels rolling on the lower inside flange of the push-back rails. A first or top cart has front and rear wheels rolling on a top surface of the push-back rails. The wheels on the first cart may be inner facing wheels while the wheels on the other carts may be outer facing wheels. The push-back rails and the side rails of the carts may be generally C-shaped channel sections.

  • Publication number: 20120157061
Abstract: A set of techniques are described for preventing the problem of voicemail tromboning. The techniques can be implemented with a service broker or other intermediate entity having a connection to a telecommunications network. The service broker can receive an incoming call from a switch in a home network of the subscriber. The service broker can then determine that a recipient device of the incoming call is roaming in a visited network. If it is determined that the subscriber is roaming, the service broker can contact a remote switch in the visited network and instruct the remote switch in the visited network to disable late call forwarding prior to relaying the incoming call message to the remote switch. The service broker can then be responsible for contacting the voicemail server in the home network of the subscriber so that the subscriber can still have access to voicemail.

  • Publication number: 20120155468
Abstract: Various technologies related to multi-path communications in a data center environment are described herein. Network infrastructure devices communicate traffic flows amongst one another, wherein a traffic flow includes a plurality of data packets intended for a particular recipient computing device that are desirably transmitted and received in a certain sequence. Indications that data packets in the traffic flow have been received outside of the certain sequence are processed in a manner to prevent a network infrastructure device from retransmitting a particular data packet.

  • Publication number: 20120159342
Abstract: A state of an application program can be stored and transferred to a remote system. The remote system attempts to recreate the original state of the application program. If the remote system is unable to do so, an image of the state of the application program is obtained, instead. Assignment of control to various functions of an application program is achieved by associating a function (i.e., modifying a parameter) with a user control at a remote location.

  • Publication number: 20120159193
Abstract: An opcode obfuscation system is described herein that varies the values of opcodes used by operating system or application code while the application is stored in memory. The system puts application code through a translation process as the application code is loaded, so that the code sits in memory with an altered instruction set. If new and potentially malicious code is injected into the process, its instruction set will not match that of the translated application code. As time to execute the application code approaches, the system puts the application code through a reverse translation process that converts the application code back to the original opcodes. Any malicious code injected into the process will also undergo the reverse translation, which will have the effect of making the malicious code detectable as invalid or erroneous.

  • Patent number: 8205118
Abstract: Software components “self-scrub” to improve software reliability, serviceability and availability (RAS). Each component designates a routine to perform a component level consistency check on major data structures and to verify the state of component. This is performed as an on-going task during the life of the component. The component registers an entry point with the system to receive notification of scrubbing parameter changes. The entry point is also called with the request to perform component-scrubbing operations. The entry point functions are responsible for executing within limitations on central processing unit (CPU) usage and memory footprint when performing scrubbing operations.

  • Patent number: 8205239
Abstract: Determining a security policy to apply to access requests to network sites that have not been classified for security risks is accomplished according to user behavior. Past behavior of users and requests to access network sites that are known security risks is recorded. When a user requests access to a site that is not classified for security purposes, a security policy is selected based on one or more users' past behavior. When a user has a history of not accessing sites that pose security risks, a more permissive security policy is set, and when a user has a history of requesting access to sites that do pose security risks a more restrictive security policy is set. Access requests are tracked, and security policy may be set at a name server that is remote from a user or user's computing system.

  • Patent number: 8202221
Abstract: Multiresolution decomposition of image data before scan conversion processing is hierarchically performed, low-frequency decomposed image data and high-frequency decomposed image data with first to n-th levels are acquired, nonlinear anisotropic diffusion filtering is performed on output data from a next lower layer or the low-frequency decomposed image data in a lowest layer, and filtering for generating edge information on a signal for every layer is performed from the output data from the next lower layer or the low-frequency decomposed image data in the lowest layer. In addition, on the basis of the edge information on each layer, a signal level of the high-frequency decomposed image data is controlled for every layer and multiresolution mixing of the output data of the nonlinear anisotropic diffusion filter and the output data of the high-frequency level control, which are obtained in each layer, are hierarchically performed.

  • Patent number: 8202939
Abstract: A formable curable elastomer composition comprising a dispersion of a cured organic elastomer, such as EPDM, butyl rubber and hydrogenated nitrile butyl rubber, is provided in an uncured silicone elastomer. The organic elastomer is cured by a phenol-formaldehyde resin. These compositions can generally be used in applications where silicone rubber is used, and in particular where the cured rubber is liable to be exposed to temperatures of 150-200° C. Examples of such uses include tyre bladders used in the moulding of tyres, spark plug boots for internal combustion engines, wire and cable coatings designed to be used at high temperatures and ceramifiable wire and cable coatings used in safety critical applications such as emergency lighting systems.

  • Patent number: 8202609
Abstract: An absorbent material for use in a disposable absorbent product exhibiting enhanced wet strength characteristics includes a blend of cellulosic fibrous material and superabsorbent polymeric material, with a wax applied to the blend in a preferably discontinuous or non-uniform distribution for enhancing wet strength characteristics of the material, without unacceptably diminishing its absorbency. Notably, the absorbent material includes regions of relatively high densification, which can exist about particles of superabsorbent material, with application of wax in a molten form resulting in the spontaneous flow and migration of the wax to the regions of higher densification. The material can be formed with a pattern of regions of relatively high and low densification, with the wax preferentially distributed in those regions of high densification.
