  • Patent number: 7662254
Abstract: Positional relationships are established in a process chamber. A base is configured with a lower electrode surface to support a wafer, and an upper electrode has a lower surface. A drive mounted on the base has a linkage connected to the upper electrode. A fixture placed on the lower surface moves into a desired orientation of the lower electrode. With the upper electrode loosely connected by the linkage to the drive, the fixture transfers the desired orientation to the upper electrode. The linkage is tightened to maintain the desired orientation, the fixture is removed and a process exclusion insert is mounted to the upper electrode. The drive moves the upper electrode and the insert to define an inactive process zone between the upper electrode and the wafer on the lower electrode to protect a central area of the wafer during etching of a wafer edge environ around the central area.

  • Patent number: 7664865
Abstract: Described is a technology by which a managed web browser control hosts an unmanaged web OLE control to control navigation requests by the unmanaged web OLE control on behalf of partially trusted code. Site locking may be performed to constrain a site to navigation only to other pages within its site, thereby preventing navigation to an undesirable location. In one example, the unmanaged web OLE control communicates information corresponding to a navigation request to the managed web browser control, and the managed web browser control processes the information to establish whether the navigation is to be allowed or blocked. The benefits of site-locking with respect to privacy are also described, as is z-order management to protect against site spoofing.

  • Publication number: 20100026272
Abstract: Inventive embodiments described here provide for accurately distributing a voltage reference to multiple cores of an integrated circuit (IC). A quasi-differential interface is used to transmit the voltage reference, and a virtual ground is established at a receiver located at each core location on the integrated circuit. In one embodiment, the receiver is an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) that converts a virtual-ground-referenced voltage input to a current. In one embodiment, the OTA converts the virtual-ground-referenced voltage into three currents via three driving current sources operating relative to the virtual ground and the local ground of the core. Negative feedback controls the accuracy of this conversion and provides a way to cancel the effects of the distribution resistance. The current is sourced across the voltage domains between the virtual ground and the VSS, which is the IC ground. An I*R drop across a resistor converts the current to a voltage referenced to VSS at the output.
