Abstract: Systems and methods involve managing exhaustible electronic resources, such as IPv4 addresses. A spot market for the electronic resources is operated to enable users to obtain units of the electronic resources. Potential users may provide pricing criteria. When a spot price for units of the electronic resources satisfies the pricing criteria for a potential user, the potential user may be given access to a requested number of units of the electronic resources.

Abstract: An audio device may be configured to produce output audio and to capture input audio for speech recognition. In some cases, a second device may also be used to capture input audio to improve isolation of input audio with respect to the output audio. In addition, acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) may be used to remove components of output audio from input signals of the first and second devices. AEC may be implemented by an adaptive filter based on dynamically optimized filter coefficients. The filter coefficients may be analyzed to detect situations in which the first and second devices are too close to each other, and the user may then be prompted to increase the distance between the two devices.

Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes receiving media from an input; gathering metadata from a plurality of media stream representations that are provided by the input; creating one or more metadata segments corresponding to the plurality of media stream representations in order to generate a metadata track; and making at least a portion of the metadata track available to a client device, where the portion of the metadata track is provided separate from a manifest file.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a request to make a prediction regarding one or more service level agreements (SLAs) in a network is received. A network traffic parameter and an SLA requirement associated with the network traffic parameter according to the one or more SLAs are also determined. In addition, a performance metric associated with traffic in the network that corresponds to the determined network traffic parameter is estimated. It may then be predicted whether the SLA requirement would be satisfied based on the estimated performance metric.
Abstract: A low voltage sensing scheme reduces active power down standby leakage current in a memory device. A clamping device or diode is used between a Psense amplifier control line (e.g. ACT) and Vcc and/or between an Nsense amplifier control line (e.g. RNL*) and Vss (ground potential). The clamping diode is not enabled during normal memory operations, but is turned on during active power down mode to reduce leakage current through ACT and/or RNL* nodes. The clamping device connected to the ACT node may reduce the voltage on the ACT line during power down mode, whereas the clamping device connected to the RNL* node may increase the voltage on the RNL* line during power down mode to reduce sense amplifier leakage current through these nodes. Because of the rules governing abstracts, this abstract should not be used to construe the claims.

Abstract: An example method may include displaying first image data associated with a first participant on a first screen; comparing a first affinity associated with the first participant to a second affinity associated with a second participant; and displaying second image data associated with the second participant on a second screen if the second affinity matches the first affinity. In certain implementations, the first data is displayed as a result of the first participant being an active speaker in a videoconference. The method may also include determining the first affinity and the second affinity based on corresponding uniform resource indicators (URIs) associated with the first affinity and the second affinity.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems directed to synchronizing transmissions among parent and child routing nodes in a hierarchical wireless mesh network. In one implementation, the present invention employs a time slot scheduling algorithm to coordinate communications between wireless nodes of a hierarchical tree. In one implementation, the present invention provides a wireless mesh network where slot scheduling information propagates throughout the mesh, while individual nodes in the mesh compute their respective time slot schedules based on this information and the current state of the network. In one such implementation, a parent routing node computes its slot schedule and transmits certain parameters to its child nodes (as opposed to the schedule itself). The child node(s) then iterates the same scheduling function based on the parameters passed to it to determine the slots with which it should communicate to its parent node and its child nodes.
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing trigger based dynamic changes to a packet flow in a communication network are described. The trigger based dynamic changes can include upgrading and downgrading quality of service (QoS), processing the packet flow, and providing services to the packet flow. These changes can be provided by inspecting packets at a gateway for trigger conditions and setting up a proxy instance for the packet flows. The proxy can coordinate QoS changes and management of packet flows. The triggers can be based on the destination of the packet, for example, the uniform resource locator (URL) and/or by the services (e.g., email, video, messaging) that the subscriber is accessing. The triggers can also be based on the identity of the user or agreements a provider might have with an operator of network equipment for users accessing the provider's website.
