Abstract: In a safety-deposit box system including a safety-deposit box, a system controller, and a safety-deposit box controller, a multi-function key is used. The safety-deposit box has a lock and the multi-function key has a metal portion and an electronic memory. Information electronically stored on the electronic memory is read by a reception device and sent to a determination device in the system controller. The determination device compares the sent information with information prerecorded in an electronic memory in the system controller. When the two sets of information agree, the system controller outputs a signal to the safety-deposit box controller. After receiving the signal, the safety-deposit box controller checks mechanical appropriateness of the metal key portion and, if mechanically appropriate, unlocks the lock.

Abstract: A shell for a chair in which a bottom shell structure and a backrest shell structure are connected to supporting frame members. The bottom shell structure has a bottom portion and a partial backrest portion that are connected by a curved portion with plural slots. Sideways notches are connected to the extreme left and right slots and extend toward the left and right edges of the shell structure. The edges of the shell adjacent the notches are curved into a U shape. This construction increases the flexibility of the curved portion, while maintaining a significant portion of the unslotted material strength. A separate shell structure is attached to supporting bars and forms the remainder of the backrest support. This separate shell structure has a jagged cross sectional shape where substantially parallel projections and recesses form grooves which extend the length of the backrest shell.

Abstract: There is provided an interlocking supporting mechanism for supporting the seat and seat back of a chair, particularly an office chair. In the supporting mechanism a link system is utilized to interlock the seat with the seat back, so that the chair is capable of smoothly moving as a seated person moves.The front portion of a lever member is pivotally connected to the front portion of a frame member which is supported by a fixing member and which extends toward the front portion of the seat. The lever member is attached, with the aid of horizontal shafts on the right-hand and left-hand sides of the seat, to the lower portions of back supporting bars. A spring member is provided between the frame member and the lever member so that the lever member is rocked on the horizontal shafts. A member for receiving the seat includes a front seat-receiving member and a back seat-receiving member.

Further provided is an all locking device capable of locking the cabinets constituting the container part of the wall cabinet all at once.

Abstract: An interlocking cushioning mechanism for supporting a seat portion and a backrest of a chair in an integrally movable fashion. This mechanism has a primary mounting member secured to an upright support for swivel movement about the vertical axis thereof, slots formed in a portion of the primary mounting member which is located near the upper end of the upright support; a subsidiary mounting member having one end extending upwardly toward the rear of the chair and the other end secured to the slots by means of a shaft; a resilient member such as a spring held between the shaft and the forward end of the primary mounting member so as to cause the shaft to move rearwardly within the slot; a seat portion mounting frame for carrying the seat portion; and a backrest frame secured to the rear of the subsidiary mounting member. The resilient member is mounted by means of a simple mounting structure and the resilient force of the resilient member is altered with a minimal effort.

Abstract: A system wherein a contractor of a rental safe-deposit box can privately obtain, handle and restore his own box in the fire-proof safe room. The system includes an automatic article retrieval and storage unit located within the safe room and having contractors' safe-deposit boxes. A plurality of private compartments for contractors' use are disposed separately from the safe room and are connected to the retrieval and storage unit by conveyor devices extending through a safe room wall opening having a fire-proof door. Each private room includes a user's data input terminal device and a handling table. A reception data input terminal is provided at a reception counter. When a contractor visits the reception counter, a reception serial number card is issued to him. The reception serial number and his box code are inputted by the reception input terminal. Thereafter, the contractor inputs his own private code and the issued reception serial number in a private compartment.
