Abstract: A utility cart has a lower platform comprising a lower recessed storage area, an upper platform comprising an upper recessed storage area, a plurality of legs extending upwardly from the lower platform and supporting the upper platform in spaced relationship from the lower platform, a handle extending from the raised platform, a plurality of wheels connected to the lower platform and rollably supporting the cart, a configurable divider for selective location in the upper recessed storage area for dividing the upper recessed storage area into a plurality of compartments, and one or more tool holders.
Abstract: An embodiment of a vise may include a clamping structure having a first clamping jaw, a second clamping jaw positioned relative to the first clamping jaw, and a quick adjust jaw guide to maintain the first clamping jaw relative to the second clamping jaw. The quick adjust jaw guide may include a driving element to apply a force to move the first clamping jaw relative to the second clamping jaw, wherein the driving element comprises a release structure to release the applied force to facilitate rapid adjustment of the first clamping jaw relative to the second clamping jaw.
Abstract: A combination clamp and wrench tool includes a main body, a fixed jaw attached the main body, and a floating clamp mechanism. The floating clamp mechanism may include an adjustable jaw. The floating clamp mechanism may be attached to the main body such that the floating clamp mechanism is slidable relative to the main body towards and away from the fixed jaw. The worm gear and the rack are attached to the floating clamp mechanism. Actuation of the worm gear moves the rack linearly relative to the floating clamp mechanism. When the rack is moved to contact the fixed jaw, the combination clamp and wrench tool operates in a wrench mode, and when the rack is moved away from the fixed jaw, the combination clamp and wrench tool operates in a clamp mode.
Abstract: A folding handle for a tool has a main handle having a tool head, a handle extension rotatably connected to the main handle, the handle extension rotatable between a first extended position and a second folded position relative to the main handle, and a latching mechanism having a locking pin and an actuator connected to the locking pin and movable between a first position in which the locking pin engages the handle extension, preventing movement of the handle extension relative to the main handle, and a second position in which the locking pin is disengaged from the handle extension, allowing movement of the handle extension relative to the main handle. A tool may have first and second folding handles which are movably connected to one another.
Abstract: A truly one-handed operable pipe wrench is provided which includes a handle having a first end and a second end, a fixed jaw disposed at the second end of the handle, and a rotatable jaw pivotally attached to the second end of the handle. The rotatable jaw includes a first engaging end and a second driven end. A lever arm is pivotally attached to the handle. The lever arm includes a handle portion and an actuating portion. When the lever arm rotates relative to the handle, the actuating portion is in contact with the second driven end of the rotatable jaw causing the rotatable jaw to rotate relative to the second end of the handle.
Abstract: A double-sided, detachable tool includes a first tool half and a second tool half. The first tool half has a first tool head on a first end, a first stepped profile on a bottom surface, and a latch protruding from the bottom surface. The second tool half has a second tool head on its first end, a second stepped profile on its bottom surface, and a latching aperture extending through the second tool half from its top side to the bottom side. The latch is inserted into the latching aperture to connect the first tool half to the second tool half and is removed from the latching aperture to detach the first tool half from the second tool half. The transitions from the stepped profiles to the seconds ends of the tool halves create a substantially flush surface therebetween.
Abstract: A ratcheting wrench includes a first jaw with a first jaw insert configured to move relative to the first jaw and a first spring configured to bias the first jaw insert in a first direction. The wrench also includes a second jaw with a second jaw insert configured to move relative to the second jaw and a second spring configured to bias the second jaw insert in a second direction opposite the first direction. When the first jaw insert moves relative to the first jaw and the second jaw insert moves relative to the second jaw, a space between the first jaw and the second jaw increases. This allows the jaws of the wrench to slip over corners of a fastener to achieve a ratcheting effect.
Abstract: A hand tool includes a head and a handle. The head is pivotally mounted to the handle, permitting the position of the head to be changed relative to the handle. In addition, the tool includes a primary locking mechanism and a secondary locking mechanism. The primarily locking mechanism primarily fixes the head relative to the handle in a particular position. The secondary locking mechanism can be used to further lock the head and handle. The locking mechanisms are actuated by movement of a sleeve which is located on the handle.
