The engaging portion is configured to be able to engage with an engaged portion provided on an inner side of the housing. The engaging portion is provided on the tubular wall portion at a position that shifted from or separated from the projection portion in the longitudinal direction of the tubular wall portion.

The mating side connector can be inserted from between the second fixing plate and the elastic piece.

The receptacle is provided with a first housing and a first contact. The plug is provided with a second housing and a second contact. The first housing has at a recess portion a lock arm provided at its end with a hook portion. The second housing has at a header portion an engaging protrusion. When the header portion is inserted into the recess portion, the engaging protrusion rides over the hook portion, and the complete fitting of the receptacle and the plug can be felt. When the header portion is pulled out from the recess portion, the hook portion is displaced, and the plug can be readily pulled out from the receptacle.

This cable cover includes a pair of divided bodies, a cable passage, and a supporting portion. The pair of divided bodies have a pair of joining faces that are to be joined to each other. The cable passage includes a bent passage portion for housing a bent portion of the cable. The supporting portion extends as a curved surface along the forward direction of the cable in the bent passage portion, and is configured to be able to support an inward portion of the bend in the bent portion.

Abstract: A press-fit terminal is made up of a wire material of predetermined length. At a first end of wire material of the press-fit terminal is formed a tip for insertion into a substrate, and at the other end is formed a connection portion for connection to a corresponding terminal. A press-fit portion for press-fitting into the substrate is formed at the tip side of the wire material of the press-fit terminal, and a shoulder portion is formed to the connecting portion side of the press-fit portion. By making use of the press-fit terminal, damage to the substrate and breakage of contacts can be minimized, consistent insertion force and retaining force can be attained.

Abstract: A female connector connected with a card member includes a contact and a housing. The contact includes a connecting part connected to a card edge terminal on one side and a wire mounting part integrally formed with the connecting part on the other side. The housing has a flat opening to which the card edge part is inserted on one side and an inserting part through which the wire is inserted on the other side. The housing has inside an interior space communicating with the flat opening and accommodates the card edge part, and includes contact accommodating parts oppositely provided with the interior space interposed therebetween. The interior space of the housing has on at least one spot a rib connecting one side and the other side of the contact accommodating part. This can prevent reduction in contact pressure between the contact and the card edge terminal.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a card member includes: preparing a substrate having a card edge section with card edge terminals to be connected to an opposing connector; preparing a fist mold and a second mold that have molding spaces for molding a resin molded section having a fitting section to be fitted with the opposing connector formed around the substrate; placing the substrate inside the molding spaces between the first mold and the second mold in such a way that the joining portion of the first mold and the second mold are disposed so as not to be overlapped with the portion where the fitting section is to be formed; injecting a synthetic resin material into the molding space to integrally form the resin molded section around the substrate. The method can provide a card member having an excellent watertightness.
